What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Ivan Rabb and Cal are getting drilled by UCLA. He's taking(4) and making(3) 3;s in 2017 tho... Interested to see how that develops..

Rui Hachimuira is probably the player your looking for if you want a Cameron Oliver style SF Crocodile Dante

He's very raw, his english is a work in progress too. I'd be pretty amped if the Jazz got him with one of the 1st rd picks tho.. I wouldn't complain. He's REALLY athletic, he effortlessly launches off the floor with tremendous force.

I'm bout 85% sure he's being underlisted heightwise too. He looks 6'10" to me.

He actually reminds me a bit of Michael Beasley.... I doubt he'd reach Utah's range, more like top-20.

UCLA has so many good players. TJ Leaf had one of the best dunks I've seenb this season. Leaf is so great at so many things, but imo, the best part of his game is his post game- specifically his jump hook. I'm afraid however that his nba team will make him either a SF or a stretch 4 and we'll never see him in the post and never see that beautiful and unstoppable jump hook. It's a shame.

In a system like Snyders he could play 3 and still get mouse in the house opportunities to use the hook(Like we see from JJ). Especially with good passing bigs on the perimeter like Lyles/Diaw..

Major props if you can ID the font used on the "Thank you for watching" in the closing frame of this vid.

Am I crazy or does Gonzaga Fr. Zach Collins look like a 7-foot younger version of popular character actor William Fichter?

Don't sleep on this Nevada - San Diego St. game.

Zylan Cheatham vs Cameron Olvier will be a war.

(Not relevant to this thread) Nevada's got this undersized 2 guard X-fer Marcus Marshall who drops tons of buckets every game I've watched him play..

Oliver opens the game with a 3..

I actually saw Zylan Cheatham play live during high school at a tournament we were at. Dude was the best player in the gym by far. Dunk after dunk. Hard to really get a gauge on a guy who plays against teams that I did. He had 42 the game I watched (his team still lost though).

Good story, not surprising tho.
Pointed him out here last yr as a freshman he's really got a great combination of ferocity and athleticism, I have great conviction that he's underrated at #85 in DX's sophomore rankings on the strength of his defensive potential.. I feel as if the way he plays is such a stark contrast with Malik Pope, i'm usually left impressed.

If he was a few inches taller it'd be a whole different story. He's going to make the league though in some form - certainly he'd get SL invites/D-league drafted(1st rd D-league draft pick).

SDSU lists him at 6'9", I doubt that's legit but if it were it could help bump him to 2nd rd status. Obviously improving his 3pt shot is paramount, if he can get that going lemme be the first to say he's got SOME parallels with OG Anunoby.

Improving his perimeter skills can have an explosive effect on his stock, I like his tools on the perimeter defensively. \

One of those types of players that If I was running a High-major program I'd always want a player like that on my team (Even if his skill level doesn't markedly improve). "I'll take him on my team anyday"

Hemsley is the story at SDSU tho. I'm certain. That dude's a PG_AB certified flamethrower.

I don't see how DX thinks Tony Bradley, Thomas Bryant and Anibogu are better(..

I also have no clue why he wouldn't declare this year.

I take back the Anibogu and Bradley comments, they've fixed it. I standby the Thomas Bryant and the 2rd comment tho.

3 2nd rd type players in the state of Tennessee that I haven't mentioned in a while are Vanderbilt's Luke Kornet and Mathew Fisher-Davis and also Chattanooga's Justin Touyo.

Touyo is a bit like Bolomboy. He's an athlete at 6'10", not as chiseled/explosive but Touyo's got some really nice body control/agility.. He'll turn 23 around the time of the draft. He's averaging 3.7 blocks per game in just 27.5 minutes, which means he might lead the nation he's like 2nd right now. He does a good job avoiding fouls, he's got good body control/anticipation. He shoot's 3's not proficiently but he's got some all-around game. NBAdarft really seems to like him.

Matthew Fisher Davis has been making it rain of late and put on a shooting exhibition in a big win over Auburn. Career high 33pts on 7 of 14 from downtown.. He's torching the nets at 44% and over 7 attempts per game. 1 dimensional but he's legit and on the fringe of being drafted. He's also younger than many So.;s as a Jr.

Kornet's played well despite shooting a dreadful 38%, It's rather obvious he'll seriously benefit being on an NBA team just as a bench player type rather than having a team defense focus in on him as we see at Vandy. He's up to 84% FT's which is a good sign. 7'1" PF type.. He's only gonna be turning 22 at the time of the draft too so he's not that old for a Sr. He flashes some all around skill

Jazz might be able to get a nice boost of help with people from Japan on All-star votes if they can draft Rui Hachimuira -- He's gonna have quite the following once he touches down in the NBA, he's the most important Japanese player ever and a local hero... He's gotta have extra value to a small-market team... We've already got the most international players of any roster too, this is a perfect spot for him.
