a first-rounder and a second-rounder.
holy ****, I just said the same thing in HH's thread.
a first-rounder and a second-rounder.
So a couple years ago coming off of surgery (but was healthy at the time) Cy would send a first and Lyles for him... now he's healthy and he'd do next to nothing for us.
Also figure in how much better his cap number is... but nah he'd never sniff the court if Diaw was still here.
And IDK if you have watched the Warriors this year, but there is no way in hell we are beating them no matter who we add this year. We could add Lebron James and we still might be an underdog to them. It's better to just use this year to get our playoff experience in, hopefully win a series or two (if we manage to avoid GSW in the 2nd round) and have some nice feels. Hopefully next year the Warriors are forced to lose someone and they become beatable again.
I don't know why so many people are all about Wilson Chandler.

Do you think anyone has a shot at them in the west?
Id like him as a backup, but he wants to be traded so he can start somewhere so he can raise his value for his last contract.
I'd bust a nut for Gallinari though.
The entire landscape of the team has changed. We are locked into the playoffs unless we have a catastrophic meltdown. Chandler is not needed for us to take the next step. We are better with Diaw and Favors while developing Lyles. Also, like I said, it would be for him to be backup, not a starter. He wants out of his situation because he is upset he is coming off the bench.
What is the max you give up for him?My gut tells me that Favors has a maximum of 15 good games left this season, playoffs included. And that our resulting weakness at PF may prevent us from winning a single playoff series. Then, after something like that, we gotta try to sign Hay and Hill.
If I were running the team and trying to push this squad as far as it can go, then I'm definitely interested in Chandler. Shut Favors down for 15ish games, and then bring him along slowly off the bench so that he can (re)peak just before the playoffs. If that happens, then you move Chandler to the bench and deal with any personality-driven consequences of that decision. Lyles is the primary back up at PF and Diaw moves to back-up C.
Chandler's contract is pretty good. He'd be pretty easy to trade next year, if necessary.
