What if Hayward doesn't re-sign?

Gotcha.

So if Boston offered the Brooklyn pick and Crowder, do you take it?

If our goal is to win a championship or bust I think you take that deal... I don't think DL does it but damn that'd be tough. I'll bet KOC would do it. If you didn't get Fultz though I think you lose the trade.

22 ppg and improving every year, but omg a top 4 pick.

Hayward is awesome. But Crowder is good, and we may be able to get a superstar in this draft. Chances are a top 2 pick! Fultz or Ball! It would make us worse over the next 2 years, but we wouldn't resign Hill, and we would build around Gobert, acquiring cheaper contracts to fill needed roles. Our potential superstar would be on a rookie contract for the next 4 years, giving us a lot of flexibility.

Ya, I'd do it. No question.

Hayward is better than Ball.

His improvement next year might not even be with us though. We will probably play LAC and they just destroyed us without CP3. Why does he stay if we get crushed in the 1st round.

Can't wait to trade Gobert in 4 years for a lottery pick because he might not re-sign with us.

Ball will be a good starter, not an All-Star.

I don't agree, and I hope I remember to bump this in a few years. He needs to fix his form to release at a higher point. Other than that, we're talking about an athletic floor general with great vision and a great touch. As he fill out and get stronger and wiser, he will 99% be an all-star. A good multiple all star too, not a fringe one.

IDK where you are getting the athletic part from. He isn't a bad athlete by any means, but I would never describe him as being an above average on that level.

Would just like to point out a lot of people thought D.Russell would be this amazing, big scoring PG with great passing ability but he kind of turned out to be just a solid starting combo guard (at least to this point, still has potential ofc).

Well, he may not have elite athleticism, but he is a good athlete with elite size for the position. Like an Exum who can shoot and is actually good. Also, Russell might still turn out to be a good player, altho I think Ball has better potential. Sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not the Oracle of Delphi (or maybe I am, as she was full of **** too). But thinking of the team's future, I'd be more excited about Crowder + Ball than if we stuck with Hayward.

But I might be wrong, I love Hayward, it is doubtful either team goes for the trade, and so on. So whatever.

Underrated Fact: Most top 4 picks do not ever become all-stars. Hayward's already reached a point that most top 4 picks never reach. So unless it was guaranteed he was leaving, I wouldn't trade him for a player who, if we're lucky and beat the odds, might one day be as good as or better than Hayward.
