Exum: Missed Call or Proper No-Call?

Foul (Kat jumps into Exums body with forward momentum ie not straight up)
Foul (Body contact and Kanter hits his arms)
Foul (I'm ok with this being a no call but there is ALOT of contact with Exums lower body while he is in the air)

The worst calls though are the ones on Dante of the defensive because these **** calls that are made on no one else put Dante out of the game.

I would say foul. KAT arm comes way down. Needs to stay straight up for a no call imo.

I say this is a no call. Good positioning by kanter and went straight up and exum is the one who initiated contact.

If you just look at the picture that represents the video before you even play the video you can see kanter straight up.

This is a tough one. I dont see any contact up top. Maybe some slight lower body contact. I still say this one is a no call.
 
After watching those videos..... my god he is fast. And his strides are so long.

That is why a still picture can be deceiving. Look at where Kanter jumped from and landed. Now imagine if Kanter had not colided with Exum in the air where he would have landed. It is clear his momentum was not straight up and down he was going forward and he hit him across the arms. Kanter did do a decent job of keeping his arms straight up.

I disagree with ya wholeheartedly on this one.
I watched it again watching specifically for what you said (where kanter jumped from and is trajectory) and it looks to me like kanter jumped straight up and would have come down in more or less the same place he jumped from if exum didn't hit him and knock him back.
Great D by kanter imo.
 
Tbh with the way nba calls these types of plays all of them would be fouls on the defender if exum just went harder and then flopped/flailed/sold it better.... or if he was a more recognizable name.

Fair enough, we definitely see this one different.
 
The first two are clearly fouls. Just because you put your arms straight up doesn't mean your body went straight up and you can see them both clearly go sideways into Exum. The third one looks like a good no-call. Of course it would be nice to see other angles but I clearly remember being angry at #2 when I watched it live. Clear foul he jumps sideways and not straight up.
