  • NO! This is the weakest draft in years. It doesn't matter who we pick, we won't be any better off.

YES! This draft COULD shape the franchise for years to come. Irving and Williams could shape a franchise, and I really think Kemba, or Knight could turn out to be good. No matter how weak the draft looks now, I still think there are 5-10 players who could turn out to be solid starters in the NBA 5 years from now.

The Jazz are in a position they have never been in before: two top 10 picks from the 2010 draft and an additional top 5 pick (chances at top 3) and 12 pick in the 2011 draft. I also have heard that the Jazz really want/will do whatever they can to get Derrick Williams. They have a lot of pieces (expiring Ks, draft picks, young players). However, I have a hard time seeing either of the teams that eventually win a top 2 pick ever trading down to 5/6 due to the overall weakness of the draft.

But... Washington was the 5th worst record last year and Philly was the 6th worst and both won the top 2 picks so you never know what the Jazz might end up with!

Repped- and Utah really wants to get Derrick Williams? I don't watch to much College ball but isn't he a Power Forward in a Small Forwards body? I hope Utah gets Knight and Burc I'd call that a successful draft. That would help make Utah a playoff darkhouse.

Plus I love the Idea of signing AK just to trade him for another Pick or young player. And Im really wondering, what value Utah will get out of Memo's Insurance paid contract-that will benefit Utah for the better.

And I hope with all the budget cuts. That it doesn't effect your salary...You much be my English Teacher right? Mrs. Sheen is that you? How have you been?

I'm all but certain that no other sports message boards would spell out that many varieties of cheese. I think we should all take a look at ourselves on this one.

Yeah, I'm sure it was very difficult to find a link that listed all the cheeses.

Are you kidding me, are you trying to downplay my thesis project on the cheeses of the world?
You think this kind of stuff can just be found anywhere on the internet?
I'll have you know I've been slaving over a hot stove all day for this cheese list, and you don't even appreciate it.
If you're not careful, you are going to lose me Crazy Eyes Killer, mark my words!!!!!

Lol, Sorry man Im all repped out but that deserves one!! Ill have you hit you up tomorrow!

All of those cheeses are wonderful. Beaver cheese is the bees knees. I prefer cheese that smells like feet. I like feet, I do not know why.

Most cheese "types", by the way, are just variations on core cheeses typically differentiated by the type of mammal that produced the raw milk, and the method of production or aging. Like Gouda, Smoked Gouda, Jalapeno Gouda, Fennel Gouda (very good-a bye the way...sorry couldn't resist), etc.

I am still waiting to try opossum cheese. Ooh and imagine gorilla cheese.

Mmmmmm.

Fine.

I like cheese.

Happy?

On a side note, I heard about some ice cream and cheese that has human milk in it..... If you are excited for gorilla cheese.... human milk will excite you almost as much as Manatee milk does.

The addition of cheese only makes everything it touches better. So this makes us the best sports message board on the interwebs!

But seriously, try some cheese with your sweetie one night, or partner or goat or whatever (hey it could even be cheese from that goat...would that be incest? hmmm). Anyway, Cheez Whiz works best in that regard, imo.

On a more serious note, I see that right now 15 people on this poll are wrong.

sorry but cheese>jazz

cheeseburger eddie> jazz

Knowing Duke gets some of the best players to sign every year and that we have a shot at getting 2 of them, makes me thing we can move forward building this team. No cheeseburgers about it.

So if Barnes stays and the Jazz don't get a top 3 pick would you want the Jazz to trade their 1-2 of their lottery picks. The only guys I'd take after Dwill2 and Irving would be Bismack, maybe Kanter and I'm on the fence on Knight and Burks. The Euro's don't excite me as much as they do to others

For me, the ultimate scenario would be to get the number one pick and somehow turn it into Granger. Indy's going to get bounced in the first round and they're not going to be a championship team with him for the next few years he's under contract. If we're stuck with 6 and 12, offer both lottery picks and Memo and see if they bite. They probably wouldn't, but it's worth a phone call.

I think I'll pass up the Cheez Whiz to spray some Easy Cheese tonight while researching my new found small people obsession. Thanks Spazz, PollGrad98, and Millsapa!

I hope the top doesn't get crusted over.

KoC will be sifting thru all the possibilities the next couple months. It is definitely possible, IMO, that he will pull off a trade; we got a lot of assets to offer...

The poll question states that the draft will shape the franchise for years.
It doesn't say what kind of shape.
You could have 15 different ideas of "shape" out there.
Oh... its 25 now.

If this years draft doesn't make a positive affect on the Jazz, it could ultimately sink this franchise. This is a small market and I don't know if we could support a multiple losing seasons. On the bright side of things, if this years draft is a bust, we could sell the Jazz for some good cheese.

i think this draft will matter if we use our picks wisely, moving up our 12th pick by a trade and get 2 quality players. My favourite is getting Enes and B.Knight together

This:

The future was in vogue for the Jazz on Monday, while the present tense belonged to two lottery picks from the 2010 NBA Draft. Hayward poured in a season-high 34 points on 12-of-17 shooting during Utah’s 107-103 victory against the Denver Nuggets at EnergySolutions Arena. Fellow Jazz rookie Derrick Favors added 12 points, seven rebounds — five offensive — three assists, three steals and two blocks in a contest that marked the regular-season finale for both teams.

Hmmmmmm let me think. Yes I like the idea of getting two more lottery picks!
