If anybody is wondering. The tie break scenario for the Clippers/Thunder would be.

1. Head to Head (series tied 2-2)
2. Division winners win tiebreaker (In the "dream scenario", Jazz would be the division winner)
3. Division won-lost percentage for teams in the same division (does not apply)
4. Conference won-lost percentage (Thunder are 26-20 with 6 remaining West games. Clippers are 25-21 with 6 remaining West games)

It then goes W/L vs Playoff teams in West which would be complicated to predict with 8 seed in question and many games left against playoff teams.

Actually, the Clippers would win the W/L vs playoff teams tiebreaker over OKC regardless of what happens from here on out. But they're a lot more likely to lose the conference tiebreaker before it comes to that.
 
The Clippers game on Wednesday vs. Washington is a huge game. If Washington can pull out a win, the Clips would be expected to finish with 48 wins total (including expected losses vs. San Antonio and Houston). The Jazz would be expected to win 49 or 50 games. The Thunder might be able to catch LA at 48.

This is going to be close.

Oh good to know. I didn't even bother to look at the numbers. So for Thunder, they need to hold onto their conference W/L lead.
 
Another good night for the Jazz! Good win with Hayward out. Also the Grizzlies lost and the Thunder won. It is possible that the Thunder end up the 5th seed and that would be better for the Jazz. The Thunder are only 1 game behind the Clips and the Clips are 1.5 games behind the Jazz. Grizz are 5 back on Utah and it is extremely unlikely that we fall that far. So our range is most likely 4-6.

Tonight's games:

Warriors @ Rockets - I want the Warriors to put the #1 and 2 seeding to rest so that they rest their players to finish the season and the Jazz win those games.
Nuggets @ Blazers - big game for the 8th seed

Yeah it's great to feel the difference between those end of seasons where you have nothing to play for and know, 15/20 games from the end already, that the season is useless. Suddenly relevance and competition remind us that oooo yes, this is sports, this is what is good.

Brutal.

Have to win at Kings and three home games vs Wiz, Blazers and TWolves, as well as one more imo. That 5-3 finish would mean the Clips would have to finish 6-1 to tie us and therefore get the 4 seed.

We could get lucky and Spurs may rest guys last game of season.

A Wiz win in LA tomorrow night would be so freakin huge.

Having said all this, I still sort of like our chances for the 4 seed.
