Black Jesus Returns: The Washington Jail Food @ Our Utah Jazz. 3/31, 7PM Mountain on Root

This is nonsense.
Neto is a much better defensive player than Mack.
Mack was rubbish defensively tonight. 5 fouls and abused constantly. Gobert saved his butt all night.
Neto is statistically the 4th best Jazz player defensively this year (mind you pretty small sample size - and excluding Bolomboy).

It's nonsense to say playing well in a game vs John Wall is better than playing well in a game vs Tim Frazier?

You do understand the whole concept of teh Jazz defense is to pressure and run players off the 3pt line to funnel them into Gobert?

Got it.

Rewatch the game.
Mack was not good on defense tonight. He was very solid on offense. But basically finished a bunch of plays. Wasn't facilitating much.

Compared to Dante - he sucked on defense.

From the very first play he entered the game, Mack was abused.

But it's true. No pg can really contain Wall consistently.

I really dont think you watched teh game.

Mack got "abused" yet Wall went 6/22 and Brandon Jennings wasnt even able to get a shot off in 14 minutes.

So what, did Wall go 6/6 against Mack and 0/16 against Dante?

Not sleepy?

naah not in netherlands at the moment. i am in a timezone that is very friendly for the nba. i dont know time differnce betwene me and UTAH. but time difference between me and et is +1. so 1 hour ahead of estern timezone. so nba game start at 20:00

I think you fail to see the array of skills Mack showed tonight. He did all the little things to help us win the game, neto couldn't do that . Nor would Quinn trust him to do so. Neto is a role bench player at best not a spark or closer it's just not in his skill set. Wall would have wiped the floor with Neto

Did those Mack attack skills involve defense?
My point was Neto is demonstrably better than Mack defensively.

Let me make it very clear for you since you are in denial, neto couldn't guard Wall as good as Mack did. All of the Jazz fans board think that but you thus we think you don't know nothing about ball

It was 14-5 when Mack first checked in. First play he was blown by all the way for a layup.
Mack was abused on defense most of the night. The rotations were excellent and Gobert covered up most of the problems.
Mack has been garbage all year defensively.

I think you need to pay attention to process, and not just the end product.
An opponent missing a short jumper or layup because of the defense of others, or bad shooting of the opponent - doesn't mean you played good defense.
He also had 5 fouls. Is that good defense?

Got it.

You do understand the concept that RPM and other metrics measure across large sample sizes right?
He has sucked objectively all year long - defensively and offensively.
