What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

I think Kennard is gonna be on the board and I think he's gonna be good. Cool hand luke is perfect for this Utah squad.

They can afford to have some non-defenders on the squad, look no further than Diaw or Iso Joe, so lets say 2.

Kennard can occupy one of those spots (if I was running ****) anyday. Like I said before he even got to Duke, I do think he's gonna be better than JJ Redick.

I prefer Luke over Rashad Vaughn who I had top-20 years back.

He represents very potent and reliable offense, I dunno how people wouldn't be head over heels for him in Utah, he's perfect.

The last lefty SG they drafted from Duke turned out pretty well.. I'm damn sure Kennard is gonna be high on Utah's board.

This is a solid post. It would be a dream scenario if he was on the board though. I'm just saying he probably won't be.

Kennard may never be a plus defender, or even average, but he's 6'8" isn't he? He can play a role like Fournier or Bogdanovich. He can do enough with the ball to use space well, and he's a good passer.

He might be able to handle the ball at the top like Hayward or Mike Dunleavy.

He's 6'6" and alligator armed (like Redick).

He's 6'6"with a wingspan to match. U're spot on about the sentence I put in bold tho.

And actually I could see a little flashes of Dunleavy or Hayward, he's very sound fundamentally, can't afford wasted movement.. He's definitely not just some stationary shooter.

I think he has a little better athleticism than people give him credit for but it's a fair point. My main point was something that you hit on. Some team will fall in love with his shooting and take him before either one of our picks.

The Nik Stauskas syndrome...

I'm not good at picking who will be good and not... I know who I like and that just sticks out for me. I like shooting but I want either good size or athleticism with it.

I actually think Grayson Allen might be a decent pro and is a better value where he will go... can do more with the ball and is a decent athlete... he is a world class douche though so that may make it hard to root for him.

In the 20s Kennard is worth the risk but outside of JJ I can't think of anyone built like him having a lot of success. Dunleavy is like 6'9" so that's not a great comparison at all.

I have a sleeper SG pegged near the top of the 2nd rd thats taller, younger more explosive and longer than Kennard and can really shoot it too and has range well beyond the NBA 3.... He's gotta be the player I've got ranked highest vs the consensus on the recent mocks..

Huerter's also is a former PG that outgrew the position and was often leading Maryland in assists down the stretch this year.

No highlights of his passing, I swear he's legit tho. Hopefully someone throws together a proper highlight mix, MD fans certainly have the energy to spare.
