Was gonna post this in Gen NBA but decided it's thread-worthy.

Ultimately this is good news for the Jazz.

That is actually less than what most people were expecting. On one hand it puts us in danger of capping out sooner and harder. On the other, it means that less teams will have the room to poach our players.

Yeah this isn't good news really.

I thought it was going to be like 110 million or something.

It is down a bit from previous NBA forecast of 103M.

What does that mean? That the correct interpretation is the Jazz got screwed??

You should retire now. Again. But this time forever. You've jumped the shark.

One of the best alts ever around here, though. But it's starting to get stupid and extra sad. Please find a real life, for your own sake.

I've legit thought he's Peeks.

Originally was projected to be 108... then 103... now 101. My guess is it comes in a little higher than that. Probably being conservative right now.

Ultimately the number we care about is luxury tax. If we re-sign Hayward Hill and Ingles we likely are over luxury tax. Would need to move Favs and Burks to get under and may not even work then. More and more I think we will let Hill walk... keep Ingles and move on from Burks and maybe Favs (we won't give him up for nothing). Likely go with a lower cost fill in type dwill, Livingston,or collison. I think Dante has shown enough to justify saying he will be a good rotation player. Keep playing him as a two with guys like Ingles and Hood and we can get by. Ramp up his PG minutes as he improves. Maybe we go after Rubio or Cory Joseph.Another potential possibility... Hill gets maxed by BKN and they arrange a sign and trade for Jeremy Lin.

We will have to crunch some numbers here... I don't see us as a taxpayer given our minimum wage mindset the past 4 or 5 years.

I thinks its good news, we can go over the cap to retain all are players. Other teams will now be scrambling to free up enough money for a big free agent.
