What's new

What was with that ONE HANDED pass from Hayward at the end?!? LOL. How careless!!

They were going to foul on the catch no matter what so he was trying to throw him open. Regardless, it was a **** hole pass.

But I agree that Hayward should have been the one catching the ball.

DIAW should be making that pass wtf is he here for if not to do exactly that... I don't understand...

One final comment

There's NO IMPETUS whatsoever to throw some laser beam pass like that, let alone a 1handed one, The clock doesn't start til someone inbounds touches it... That's a panicked pass If I've seen one...

I'm not saying u have to loft it up way high like a hair mary... The idea is to hit someone IN STRIDE on the way to the basket, thats how u save time ACCURACY, not throwing a bullett one hander like that.... is just INSANITY and ultimatley t's ****ing juvenile.. it really is... I mean he was hoping for a miracle and it wasn't that time to panick yet, 3 seconds is enough time to be hit in stride, dribble twice and then get a shot up..

I swear that QS is a great coach, he is, no doubt he'd improve so many other teams if he was running **** (especially toronto omfg..) but this was just an atrocity of a single play.. pretty much everything went wrong.. So it does fallback on him in some way... gotta put people in the best positions to do their job and this was the opposite...

Haywards one of the best decoys they have QS made it easy on the defense putting him as the inbounder.. the defense didn't even guard the in-bounds...

Quinn trusted Hayward and was let down tho, it's not just on Quinn.. Quinn thoguht he was a QB but as we all know his other sport is tennis..

As I said before i do think theres a correlation with the video games hayward likes to play and his nervousness at the end of games.. I used to play all those types of games (i'm really ****ing good at video games as u probably have figured out by now, i'm good at all games, i love game theory..) and it breeds a very tenuous mindset when the **** hits the fan, the immediacy is felt in those games, It's not a mindset that carry's over to the NBA well, it manifests itself into trying to play perfect mistake free basketball while not curtailing your initial impulses, which is something a player like CP3 will always beable to feast off of..

Hay's a very good player, he's good enough to get you to the precipice, not good enough to nail the coffin shut tho (not even close).. This is the first ****ing round were talking about here, u know how much the difficulty is about to increase if they make it to see the warriors..

WHERES THE KILLER INSTINCT, BLAKE GRIFFIN IS OUT, THATS BLOOD IN THE WATER.. Haywards no shark.. He's no omega wolf..

There is no mystery when that time will be. It will be whenever the Jazz do something that you can't criticize. And the second something bad happens your pathetic *** will be right back here because you have nothing better to do with your life.

I suspect that the truth of PG_AB is also that he's an alt of a long-time poster here. Someone whom you may have liked in the past. Anyway, I think this just adds to the pathetic-ness of the whole ordeal

Narcissist figures out whole community sees him as a joke, weeks of fiery vitriolic rage ensues, only compounding the belief

"using your expiring assets to add depth to the squad rocks the boat too violently and may destroy our delicately balanced beamed cakk bakk" - me

You inbound that ball to anyone running away from the basket and it's easy for the Clippers to foul and force FT's in a 3 point Game. Our only chance of winning was hitting someone with a long pass going towards the basket.

I guess you could argue we should just get w/e inbound we can, take the foul, and then try to make the front end and miss the 2nd in hopes of an offensive rebound, but then you quickly realize the Jazz can't rebound over the Clippers so w/e Hayward tried to do was the probably the highest % to tie/win the game.

Having a career high game in the playoffs is not choking. Hayward played excellent this game. He was physically mauled a the second half and double triple teamed. Others needed to hit their open shots and they didn't. Yes the last play was unfortunate but had little to no chance of turning into anything. Hayward was clearly frustrated at that point. The refs were terrible as usual but they didn't lose the game for us. Jazz let the refs get to them and got bugged. They also got mad with each other. I'm glad to see this team fight without their best player on the court though. If Rudy comes back next game we can still win this series.

Hayward had one of the better playoff performances this year in this game. He was very efficient.

Hayward is definitely going to have to learn how much the physicality ratchets up in the final minutes of a close playoff game against Chris Paul. Game 2 he went to the 3 point shot foul and didnt get the call and game 3 he opted into a Chris Paul wrestling match in the post. Players who are lauded as defensive super-stars are allowed to get away with murder.

I agree. Clippers have the luxury of having CP3 who can conserve his engergy until the 4th quarter because they have Griffin who comes out strong in the first half generally and fades towards the end of games. Hayward came out strong but faded towards the end. I guess CP3 is going to have to play harder early which might leave him with no legs towards the end of the game and his jump shot will struggle more in the 4th. Although others from the Clippers could step up and help preserve CP3 for the 4th. That is what the Jazz need, other players to step up and hit shots when Hayward is being guarded that physically and by multiple players. Jazz also need to play much much more physical in the 4th. We let up with our physicality in the 4th. Partially due to the way we were being reffed, partly because we were up so much and probably partially due to being worn out. The being worn out is not an excuse though, its the playoffs and you need to go all out to the end, especially our role players.

Yeah that pass was horrific and Haywardesque. I wish your clip had the moments before he got the ball...his body language was soooo bad.

If he hasn't learned this by now, as a player, and you have, as a watcher of the game, what does that say? I mean, I am incredibly thankful that every year, Hayward has upped his strength, his shooting, his game, essentially, but his 4th quarter prowess has remained the same.

And I have no idea how he can learn it. I mean, if you cant learn something in 3 games you are basically useless right? I mean, Hayward is so ****ty it took him into his 3rd playoff game to score 40 points. What a scrub. How will he ever get better if he isnt a master at playoff basketball 3 games into his playoff career.
