What's new

Paul Millsap

i'd love him on a short contract. i'm sure he's trying to ink something big and long term though as a last hoorah.

nope ,rather let Favors heal up and let Lyles work on his game over the summer like exum ,both have a good future in Utah IF they work on their bodies more

No, he is too expensive, getting too old and frankly if we are going after a new 4 I would prefer a stretch 4 that can shoot the 3 ball.

I would LOVE Millsap back. If he wants to win, this is a great option for him. If he wants a big contract, he won't be coming to Utah. If Sap came back, then the depth barometer on this team would get better yet. Lyles would become expendable as well. Lyles should develop, but this year he took a yuuuuuuge step back.

Remember when some said that Hayward would never become the player that Millsap was/is? GVC deffs did.

have you watched him lately he is a stretch 4 who shoots 3
What is his 3 point shooting percentages in the playoffs for his career, any recent season or even his best year? He is not a stretch 4. He can't shoot the three in the playoffs. He did just have the best playoffs of his career though but his threes are still off. He is a good player but not a three point shooter when it matters.

I like Millsap, always have, but still don't think he's a starter on a championship winning team. His time in Atlanta hasn't changed my opinion. He is going to get a lot of money, and I feel he isn't worth it. Would rather keep some of our own guys, than give up what it would cost to obtain his services. But I still believe in Burks too, so there is that.

Trey is in the midst of a sophomore slump on steroids, has low IQ, and wore a Kobe Bryant shirt. So yes, I prefer Trey. He's cheap and getting cheaper in relative terms. He has some good basketball skills that I believe will get better, and he's got a great coach for mentoring young players. He's going to mature and become smarter and in two years will be a very valuable piece.

Would you rather have Trey or Sap?
Easily Sap but not if it's sap at a max deal for multiple years. Although Lyle's shot awful this year from 3 it is better than Millsaps 3 point shooting the last couple years and much much better than Millsaps playoff 3 point shooting. Millsap is shooting 26% from three for his career in the playoffs and this year in the playoffs he shot 17% and has never shot better than 33% in the playoffs.
