OFFICIAL: daring bitches to look into turf toe

I'm not going to do the research for you, and I hope nobody comes in here and copy-&-pastes something that you'll accept as research. You obviously have access to the internet. Use that. If you aren't satisfied, go to a medical library nearby. Check out testimonials about how it feels (it hurts to ride a bicycle with turf toe, btw); and check out all the secondary, tertiary, etc. injuries that can be caused trying to play through it.

The majority of posters on this site have spent hours bitching about Hill -- making an assortment of totally baseless accusations -- and that would have been a more-than-adequate amount of time to inform themselves about what is happening to/in his body. The worst of these accusations have been (1) connecting this injury to some phantom 'injury history', (2) assertions that he's injury prone (while he's dealing with something that is on-going), and (3) that he's intentionally sitting out to protect his ****ing stats. Just the stupidest kind of ****. Pepper these claims with awful Exum Homerism and Mack Hate and you get the general historical picture. Grats JFC.

Every jazz fan should have gratitude for what Hill has fought through and for his contributions this season. He was a key part to very successful program. And you all should want him back (unless the sums become astronomical, of course).

Is the majority accusing him of being weak, wussy, or not committed? or are they shifting some blame through with the fact that 3 of our 5 main cogs missed a third or more of the season (much like last season), with hill piloting the injury plane? this is a serious question. I really like hill, and i have no qualms with the legitimacy of his injury (anyone who thinks he's faking it can bow out). whether he's missing time from a long term chronic ailment, or that now in his 30's he's more susceptible to the little things holding him down doesn't matter as much to me...(regardless of the cause, he's only played 166/246 ~ 67% of regular season games over the last 3 years). "injury-history" aside... it is a little worrisome to invest such a significant chunk of the next few years of our budget and future if he can't stay on the floor. If he stays healthy, this roster is easily a 55+ win team, which is huge.

He is injury prone. The numbers do not lie. It's sad because I love his game, and still want to resign him. He won't be available at a price I can live with, especially considering the risk you mentioned. If we are going to invest heavily in a starting point guard he has to avoid injury like Hayward.

The Jazz have to improve through trades/internal development because of the cap. Letting players walk will not make the Jazz better.

Turf toe is a bitch. It's one of those things that constantly hurts and seemingly never goes away.

The numbers say he isnt injury prone.....

I mean, I guess if your standard is John Stockton then sure, but by the case everyone is injury prone.

It's the playoffs though. Plus, member John and Karl? These guys today are just soft.

Oh, and our dumb medical staff sucks. They should just spray some stuff on it and make it better like they do in Phoenix. Never heard of no suns player getting this so-called turf-toe. I doubt it's even a real thing. Don't care what it says on no internet. The media lies anyway, and deep state is in collusion with Obama and Hillary to make us believe stuff. Aliens probably invented the turf toe lie in order to keep us distracted from what's really going on.

He played 8/11 possible playoff games for the Utah Jazz.

George is really good for us. Most championship teams have a George hill type point guard, in that they are really good but not at the all star level. I hope we can get a decent deal on him for four years. The guy is a stud and we need to keep him.

He has been battling real injuries and has been playing hurt as well. Big toes are really important. Most of your weight is transferred through your big toe to the ground. Common sense tells me that the big toe is just as critical to basketball as a knee or ankle.

I haven't once questioned the toughness or dedication of Hill or any other Jazz player this year. In fact, I am convinced a number of them played hurt and gutted it out at times. And the blame on the Jazz training staff or Jazz FO is ludicrous in my opinion. That being said, Hill has been hurt enough that I would want a lot lower salary than is being tossed around if I were to bring him back.

It heals eventually you just have to do a lot of rehab and stay off it. It's possible he might need to do surgery.

You aren't alarmed by the injury prone year he just had? I'm willing to resign him at the right price, and do actually want him back. You know I was a huge Hill homer for most of the season. But you have to be concerned with his missed games, and how he reacted to injury. Whether or not he was tough enough or should have played through it is another debate.

He missed too many games to not be somewhat alarmed before making a major commitment in him.

Billups, Parker, Curry, Irving, Magic, Isaiah Thomas (the old one), all wanted to say "hi".

Stockton and Payton enjoyed their time in the finals too, up until they lost. Kevin Johnson did too.

So... what connections are you drawing between, for example, the on-going toe problem and the concussion?

No doubt that you can win a championship with a great point guard. I suppose I should have replaced "most" with many. I wouldn't consider Billups to be that much better than Hill. He is better, but Billups only went to an all star game after he won a championship (if I remember right).

I'm really not alarmed at all. He had an unlucky year with injuries. I dont see him as injury prone at all. His injuries this year would almost have 0 bearing to me in contract negotiations. He has a style of game and the size at his position that should age well.

I just dont think you a proper grasp of what new contracts looks like under the new cap. You seem to get very emotional when discussing how much some NBA players make.

That was once true, but it may be changing though, because 4 of the 5 teams who have been to the finals since 2012 have had a point guard who made the all star team that year. (Curry, Irving, Parker, Westbrook)
