May 9-14 NBA draft combine

May 16th Draft lottery

June 22 NBA draft

June 26 NBA awards show

June 29 deadline on player, team and early term options

June 30 last day teams can make qualifying offers to RFAs

July 1 Teams can reach verbal agreements with teams

July 3, 5 and 6 - Jazz SL (Celtics, Spurs and 76ers again)

July 6 Official start of free agency. Players can sign

July 7-17 Las Vegas SL

No they have until well into the next season. I think that part is referring to guys who are becoming FA's that offseason.
