Why would Hayward want to stay when offense wins and defense without offense loses.....

Watching San Antonio with a healthy Kawhi blitzing the top offense of Golden State on their home court makes you wonder WHY is Snyder trying to play slowdown basketball by milking the clock.Jazz have to play perfect defense to have a chance to out score Golden State,San Antonio,or Cleveland ,you can probably add Houston in there and Clippers with a healthy Blake Griffin.

I love that Rudy Gobert is the best rim protector in the NBA but at 24 years old and athletic WHY couldn't he do it it in today's run and gun league.Hayward scoring 25 ppg and losing,WHY wouldn't he want to play in more uptempo style where his game would really open up.I think if he leaves Utah it will be for a team that can score ,it didn't hurt Durant.

If Hayward moves on,will it be because of Snyder's lack of offense and style of play. At SLC high altitude and Jazz young players more suited for uptempo than slow tempo push Hayward away as a result GHIll too. This can be a major setback for the Jazz. Watching Hood and Exum, their was a under current of dissatisfaction with their careers as well.Who can blame them when Snyder was trying to win with a team looking too slow to compete.

Watching the playoffs now,can Snyder adapt to a more open style of play.He showed with playing Mack,JJ,Diaw, and Ingles heavy minutes he's taking the Jazz in the wrong direction and quite possibly his players bail out on the Jazz this summer and Exum and Hood not wanting to sign next summer.

There is some weird myth that because teams like the Jazz don't run means they are not taking advantage of the altitude. Jazz move and force teams to move in the half court a lot.

Jazz are near the top of miles ran per game and wear teams out.

This is dumb. You won't beat GS playing their style, simple. Exact reason Houston would have been swept.

I think if G.Hill is healthy and Hood could of hit a shot we are right in that series. No point throwing away our identity now.

The job of coach is to build a style that plays to the players strengths. That is what Quin has done. He wanted a faster tempo but we do not have the offensive players to make that work. We do have a defensive anchor with Rudy. So Quin slowed our offense down to slow the opposing offense down. It forces the opposing offense to play against our defense in the halfcourt. It plays to our strengths. And it has been effective.

Playing defense sucks... running offense and making teams play defense for as long as possible absolutely will exhaust teams.

Not to mention that the Jazz offense is still coming together. Look at the improvement from last year to this year, even with all of the injuries. I don't suspect that we have seen everything that we will eventually see.

Anyways, tleikheen, can you just make one "I hate Quin Snyder" thread and keep all of your posts contained there? We don't need a new thread from you every single god damn week repeating the exact same nonsense message over and over.

Someone make a list of the teams that have won championships without being real good defensively. My list is below:

Back when the Kanter trade happened, tleikheen made a lot of ridiculous posts about how Snyder was stupid to reduce Kanter's minutes because offense wins - not defense. Ever since then the vast majority of his posts have been anti-Snyder rants, usually the exact same complaint. I guess you have to admire the guy for his persistence, if nothing else.
