2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

I like browns body language, effort, attitude, unselfishness, and iq. Haven't seen him much before the playoffs but I'm definitely buying jaylen brown stock.

Anyone know his measurements and his vert. Looks long, and quick and explosive.
He's legit smart. Like the type that would go to Cal even if he weren't an athlete.

I didn't know that. Was he good in college? How much of a leaper is he?

Nevermind about the leaper question, just saw him explode for a dunk in traffic.

He wasn't mocked that high (#3) was he?

If Hayward wants out of Utah, that's one thing, but this Celtics team is poorly constructed right now, and making them a contender is not a sure thing at all.

They have a billion assets and could construct their team any way they want for the future. IDK why you are looking at their team rn and thinking this is their end goal, it isn't. It's merely a stepping stone for them to eventually trade IT and build through their Brooklyn picks as is, or to trade one of them for a star while signing Hayward.

And they won 50+ games, it's not poorly constructed. They ran into the greatest player in the world, a guy who might be the best ever. Utah lost to what might be the greatest team ever. You cant possibly take away anything about either team in comparison to each other, other than nobody has a chance in hell unless they create a 3rd super team.

And if Hayward leaves, that's the reason why, because Boston has a chance at building a super-team and Ainge has shown he has what it takes to pull off that build strategy.

Gobert is a bonafide All NBA player. In theory, IT was All NBA also. If you take him off the Celtics and get whatever value in return via trade, it's down to Hayward, Horford, a rookie, a future rookie TBD, and enough cap space to sign one more dude. A lot of maneuvering needs to take place. Could Ainge do it? Maybe. But it could also blow up in his face. It's risky.

I don't remember his rank, but he was top 5 coming out of HS. Big time prospect. Big leaper. Explosive. Strong for his age. Struggled shooting the ball at Cal.

I'm sure they won't do this but they might be smart to build around jaylen brown, fultz, whoever they get next year (maybe that big guy you like), and Marcus smart, and trade IT for some ****.

It would definitely take longer and I'm sure they won't do it but that could be a pretty special group in the future.

Of course the great thing for boston is that they can have their cake and eat it too. They can win now while also developing these young guys for the future. Lucky ****s.

How did they get these picks anyway? (#3 last year, #1 this year, and likely top 3-5 next year) what did they give up?

Celtics fans (what's left of them) all cheering the Celtics at the end of the game. They all know this will be the last home game of the year lol.
