Put Your Thinking Caps On

This list is a bit old. Still has Perkins with Boston (also he signed extension with OKC). Also Splitter is unrestricted already? Dont think that is right. If so he could be worth looking at for a backup C. Have no idea why San Antonio does not play him more especially in this Memphis series.

I think Splitter has another 3-4 years on his deal. And I use to live Bartlett and Im so glad, to see Memphis, taking it to the Spurs!

Yeah, the world has turned upside down. Grizzlies may win a series and Jazz not in playoffs at all. But if DWill trade payoffs we could be contending in a couple of years. I am a G'town person myself-hanging in the hood.

I don't want to pay someone to take Okur. I want someone to pay us for him. A rehabbed Memo has value in trade. The one caveat is I would use Memo in a predraft deal as a salary equalizer.

I would pay someone to take Bell. But if I was KOC, I'd be ringing up contenders in the offseason. I don't think Bell is washed up, his contract is affordable, he just plays too much.

Just depending on the new cba. I can see Memo and his contract returning some type of role player or draft pick (s). What if the Bucks called and said we want Memo for Maggetti & our pick? What would you guys do? Ask for Irasolva instead of the pick and make a deal? Thats what I would do.

You never trade an expiring for bad contracts.

So you don't think that would give us another great piece in Irasolva and add to our weak bench? And Maggetti's got 2 years left.

Jefferson and the Nets pick for Cleveland's top pick in order to select Kyrie Irving or Enes Kanter. Unless Millsap is moved, I think Derrick Williams is a repeat of him (which more upside). But he is a tweener like Millsap or even Beasley and would have to lose 15 pounds to play SF or gain 15 to play PF (but still be undersized like Millsap).

No necessarily for the trade exception, but would you trade:

Millsap + Okur + the Jazz's lottery pick for

Jamison + Semih Erden + Manny Harris for Cleveland's Clippers' pick.

Utah gets a veteran that can come off the bench and decent back-up center and an improving shooting guard.

Don't think so. Why would we want 3 players off the worst team in the NBA and lose 2 great trading chips in Millsap and Okur, just to move up 4 places in this terrible draft?
