Jazz hosting Free Agent Mini-Camp w/ 25 players

This will be held on Friday and Saturday. 20 of the 25 players were in the D-League this year.

That list is like the Chuck-o-Rama of jazzfanz favorites of drafts gone by. Everyone ought to be able to find a guy they like.

A question I have are there four or more better players than our draft picks this year.

Within those 25 players, there is one great player in there. I don't know who he is and the FO might not know who he is. The player might not even know it. But he's there. There are so many examples of guys who just need to find their fit, motor, purpose, whatever to find their role. There are so many Bruce Bowen, Danny Green, Johnathon Simmons, Jeremy Lin guys out there who just haven't been discovered yet. The Spurs modeled their franchise after Utah now we have to model some of our ways after theirs.

I've seen Qualls play a lot, loved the dude. Always knew he'd be in the NBA. He was the bigger stud than Bobby Portis imho on that Arkansas team. Has that Trevor Booker motor, came up with big plays every time the offense stalled.

Make me wonder if we are planning to make some trades to free up some roster spots and sign Hayward and Hill. Then we will need some inexpensive contracts to fill out the roster.

I didn't notice Tyler Hansborough on the list the first time... don't know why but the though of him hustling and fighting in a FA minicamp made me smile. He likely tries to stab someone with a trident.

Hansborough has played in 44 playoff games. Could provide a veteran prescence.

There are a lot of former first round picks and high second round picks in this batch. Unless this draft class has a motherlode of talent relatively late I would take a four on four game with these guys vs. our draft picks.
