This. So much this.I have been the biggest "Love to Utah" guy around here.
But if can get PG over Love and say no? Lol.
In today's NBA, you want a Gobert, a PG and three 6ft7 to 6ft9 guys who can hit threes and defend.
PG is perfect in Utah. We'd be the second best team in the NBA, hands down.
Get PG and make him your #1 and All NBA player and win 60 games. Then, make him walk away from a shot at a title, more money and 90 mins from LA.
I'd bet he wouldn't leave.
You HAVE to take that bet.
This. So much this.

Yes, everyday and twice on Sunday. So you'd take one year of Paul George over 3 years of Kevin Love?
I think I would rather have Love than PG. The security of 3 years is just preferable to me than swinging for the fences in a single year. I think the most likely scenario is the Jazz lose to the GSW in 6 in the conference finals then PG leaves. Hayward most likely just signed a 1+1 knowing of PG's desire to join the Lakers. Upon George leaving Hayward is faced with the harsh reality the Jazz lost to the GSW even with Paul George, now that George has left the situation in Utah seems bleak.

So only one extra year of a one way player vs a two way superstar? It's not 3 years. It's 2.

Yea, give me PG for a year.

And my answer is still the same. PG for a year over Love for 3.Stitches is wrong.
The thing is that the Jazz have to find a way to get another star. It's going to take risk, but this is the type of move that the franchise has to make in order to contend. We simply can't pay everyone, so we HAVE to swing for the fences with a deal like this.

The third year is a player option. For all intents and purposes his contract is 2 years.
I see it the same way. With Love we'd be fighting with SA/Hou/GS for the next 2 (or 3) years. Ultimately I feel like SA and certainly GS will be better than us.With Gobert, Hayward and George, Utah can have an outside shot at GS.
With Gobert, Hayward and Love, Utah is really good but would have the same result as this year, i.e. getting swept by GS every year.
PG gives Utah a shot at pushing GS.
Give me a shot at greatness.
Indy is asking for a starter and two firsts.Honestly, I think I'm on this mindset as well. Though I don't think it should or would take Favors, Hood and MULTIPLE firsts. Is that what people are saying? I skipped to the end.

With PG then only GS is better. We're the second best team in the West and probably NBA. I'd like that even if it was only for a year.
Again, hopefully lady luck smiles over the Jazz in that PG scenario.
