If the Spurs decide to blow their team up and trade away some of their players, is there any chance we can land Ginobili? Do we even want Ginobili?

No way the Spurs deal Ginobili. They're keeping the window open for the Big Three as long as they can. If they did trade one it would be Parker. He can at least be replaced. Ginobili can't be replaced.

Don't we already have Gordon "Ginobili" Hayward?

I wonder if Duncan has anything left. I think they need to blow up their team. Ginobili has had too many injuries.

I was just thinking about this last night. Will the Spurs trade Duncan for some youth? And i'd say no to Ginobili, too many injuries & will be on the decline.

Everyone who knows me, knows that I love Gino. But the kid is old. We're talking YB old.

Pass.

Agree about his age. If we were a perennial 2nd-round playoff team then maybe you do it for the right price - but Manu's age and durability don't fit in with what we're trying to do - which is establish a young core of players to build around.

I could see the Spurs doing a PG trade with the Knicks -- Tony Parker for Chauncy Billups. Parker would be better for the Knicks system as Chauncy is a walk it up guard and Parker can drive and dish. With Chauncy's expring contract, the Spurs can keep him for a season and then rebuild, rather than be locked into 4 years left on Parkers' deal. Chauncy's shooting could coincide well with Ginobli's ability to penetrate.
