Do we blow it up? Trade Hood Favors and Burks?

Do we reload? Add other players that. An fill Haywards huge void?

What options are out there I'm not thinking of.

Gobert can only do so much.

What direction do u take the jazz?

If they both leave, I say f-it and trade Favors, Joe Johnson and Diaw for Deng, Ingram, Clarkson and Randle. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yd9o497t

The Lakers will shed the contracts of Deng AND Clarkson. In summer 2018, they could afford LBJ by dumping those and their other cap space can be used for Paul George. LBJ would be re-united with Mozgov. I'm fairly certain the Lakers could still trade Russell for assets elsewhere.

I would then re-sign Ingles to add that much needed vet presence.

PG Exum/Clarkson
SG Hood, Ingles
SF Ingram, Deng
PF Randle, Lyles
C Gobert

Why not burn down Vivint Smart Home Arena while you're at it?

Hill and Hayward gone?

Don't worry about it. Haven't you read Jazzfanz? the Jazz are turning Exum, Burks, Favors, and Diaw's expiring contract into Bledsoe, Porzingis and a one-year rental of Paul George. They might even pick up Kevin Love and the #12 pick too.

It is a great time to be a fan.

No, it's either George or Love. C'mon man.

If Hayward leaves we dont want Hill back anyway. Build around Rudy.

This is the correct answer. Likely keep Hill, Hood and Lyles. Draft some new guys and play the ones that earn their keep. Continue focusing on becoming one of the best defensive team in the league. Hope that a young guy or two takes a hefty jump.

Here's an idea....

Danny Ainge's son is running for Congress in Utah, he needs the Ainge name to be popular.

So, after the draft Hayward announces he wants to go to Boston, Danny Ainge publicly proclaims that is not fair to the Jazz and urges Hayward to be part of a sign and trade.

The Jazz sign Hayward and trade him to Boston for Crowder, and Tatum. The Jazz get something, Hayward is not a villain, Ainge is magnanimous, and the Celtics get the best player. Everyone wins.

First you say no Hill, then you say keep Hill. Which is it?

Anyway, I disagree with not wanting Hill if Hayward leaves. A healthy year from Hill and somebody else stepping up could still give us a pretty good year. I don't agree that the ship falls off the edge of the world without Hayward.

It was a typo. I meant Exum. I'd prefer to pay the premium of keeping Hayward, Hill and Jingles - then consolidating assets for another star. I hope the Jazz agree with that concept. I'm worried that DL is going to go conservative on us and miss an opportunity to make the bold decision when the chance is there.

If they leave burn it to the ground... I would hate to trade Rudy, but not sure we could build on his timeline. I would keep him for a year unless a godfather offer came. See what happens... he's so valuable because he can dominate the game without the ball... not many guys can do that. I could see someone coming in FA in a year or two or maybe we hit a homerun in the draft.

Keep Burks, Exum, Lyles and start rebuilding the value there or finding out if they are keepers. I might still bring in Ricky Rubio... he's a fun guy to watch and would make everyone happy.

Really? Can you imagine Boston winning the championship after they sign Hayward and we trade them Gobert for their picks? Rudy Gobert is our man and should be for the rest of his career. I don`t give a flying **** about winning a championship. I want a team I can be proud of each and every day and I can`t think of any player I`d want to lead that team but Rudy.

Rudy is our Dirk. He never gets to play anywhere else. There will be a statue of him outside the arena when it's all said and done.

1. Mothball Gobert or trade him for a king's ransom
2. Dump good and veteran players (this probably only applies to Joe Johnson) to free up playing time, become worse, gain a fringe liquid asset (young player, pick move of some type).
3. Have everyone else (Hood specifically) on the block and see if anyone comes calling, but don't look to trade.
4. Lose a lot of games.

For the record, I would much rather just go for it. But if we lose two of our three best players, I will be damned to follow a treadmill team. I will be forever bitter about the period between trading Deron and letting Millsap and Dumb Al walk for nothing. Such a ****ing waste.

If I sat through JLIII for this **** I will be pissed.

I've been saying sign and trade Hayward for a while now. Boston can do more if they trade guys like Crowder. Sure he is good depth, but does he want to go to the bench? Can they re-sign Smart?

So do you think Hayward would low key tell DL if he was more than likely gone? Would be helpful... I doubt it would get leaked. I know PG is getting killed, but at least Indiana gets something and they won't make stupid signings or trades that don't fit the new direction.
