Hood is a good player but he is the one guy on the team who doesn't play Jazz ball, well him and Burks. They can go play with Carmelo and see what it's like.

Lyles + 24 would probably get #18 from Indiana, maybe a bit more. I think the Jazz might make that move for John Collins personally. I don't like how Lyles checked out last season.
Look for a team in a tight cap situation that could really make use of the Diaw deal and Utah's remaining cap space from last year -- e.g., Detroit and Charlotte. Sacramento might also play ball with their second lottery pick.

Brooklyn is still very much in the running. No rule against starting two combo guards.

I think this kind of solidifies their plan to take on unwanted players in exchange for draft picks and young players. Signing Hill to a 25mil/year deal wouldn't be conducive to that plan.

I think he'd be a good backup 5, particularly against small lineups. Defensively, he can guard 4/5, maybe bigger, less athletic 3's. Offensively, very limited. He could never play with Gobert. Some people view him as a 4, I think he's a 5. Not my favorite guy, but I could live with it at #30. No earlier.
