It's just not worth it for Beverly. We dont need defense at the PG position that badly. I dont think Beverly is moving the needle on any decision Hayward makes, so you run a huge risk of selling draft picks you are going to need if Hayward leaves.

If we trade for Beverly but dont re-sign Hill, we are still a worse team. I'd rather just go after Teodosic with the MLE if we can't get Hill.

I would want to do badly but would be afraid it would upset Hayward since he and Hill seem to be tied at the hip.

I really like Beverly and would love to get him. But that price is too much.

And like someone said, Brooklyn and Philly now have less incentive to offer George Hill a huge contract, so his price might have come down a bit. Trading good assets for Beverly after these happenings seems ill conceived.

Yeah, you know we are already a top 3 NBA defense. The benefit of adding a guy like Beverly will be on the margin. A guy like Teodosic could have a bigger positive impact while not costing the team future assets.

That's the kind of guy you love to play with and hate to play against though. I would hope Hayward would understand that. Ingles is the same way at times. He's always getting under the opponents skin and talking crap to them.

We could be a #1 elite defense with Beverley rather than drop off with Teo playing the matador. And we do this at 2-4M cheaper than Teo's been rumored to want. And 15M+ cheaper than Hill which could allow us to add another major cog this year or next.

We shouldnt trade either pick next year. If Hayward leaves, we could be lottery. OKC should be late teens.

We should use expiring contracts, #24 and #30 and 2nd rounders as assets.

I would trade them the $30 pick for him. We have room to absorb him, no reason to give up a player as well. Also they dont want a player back. I guess we could trade them Diaw but I think his contract will come in handy in another deal and not necessary in this deal or helpful.

They are just looking for someone to take him to clear salary cap space to go after a max player. There is no way we should give up multiple first round picks for him.

Although I would pursue other deals first and come back to this if we cant get something else. Or maybe just pull the trigger and maybe trade him in another deal. I actually dont see how it would hurt us to pick him up except losing the #30 pick but he is worth that much or more.
