Move to Consider if Hayward Leaves

As for taking on Knight, it depends on what other move we're able to make, but if that's the only move, I'd blow it up and tank.

Yes, that is why I made the thread. To ask what assets they would have to give up to make taking Knight worthwhile.

I have always liked Brandon Knight. I wanted him at 3 in 2011 instead of Kanter.

I would love to get Chriss or Bender back in a deal. If not I would take Knight and Miami's 2018 pick (which will probably be in the lottery).

I think Knight and that pick would be enough for me and probably enough for Phoenix to get the deal done. We would then have three 1st round picks in 2018 and all of them would be in the top-20.

Bender plz ... he could be a super player Depends on the approach, if we're trying to not take a backward step then go after Gallinari ?

Yeah, me too. I think there could be some salvaging of Knight's basketball career.

If Knight was committed with our development crew I have great hope for him. I don't think Phoenix will give up a ton to move on from him. Word was they were looking for expirings and a second at the deadline and came up empty.

At very most I think you would get #31 and Knight for space or Favs (stiches will be pissed). I would see if they would do AB straight up for him right now if we couldn't get beverly. AB's contract is shorter and Phoenix has a ton of faith in their medical staff.

It would mean Hill is likely gone though and may rock the boat too much if Hayward is still torn.

Really Cy? Really?

No to Knight. There are much better salary dumps to look at than Knight.

The deal with Knight is that he could become a salary asset if he revives his career. If he regains some of his promise he is in his prime and relatively cheap.

I'd ask for the Miami pick to do it right now, but I might settle on the 31st pick or maybe 31 and Knight for AB and 42.

If it was Favs for Knight I would absolutely want the Miami pick.

They won't offer that much... they'd waive and stretch him before doing that.

I know they wouldn't. Jesus Christ. The thread is just asking what you want in a trade to take him back (not really about what the Suns would or wouldn't accept). What's the minimum you would accept? Is that such a hard question for anyone besides Jazz4ever to answer.

Well taking on Knight and draft pick(s) would be like trying to improve internally (hopefully through Exum/Hood/Lyles and of course the already elite Gobert).

I would ask for a Miami pick and the Suns 2018 pick (top 3 protected). Hopefully Miami doesn't make the playoffs this year and you get a late lottery pick or early post-lottery pick and the Suns do something similar in 2018. You have to think Utah is probably either a late lottery team or early post-lottery too, so the Jazz could do a trade up or something. Just about stocking back up on assets to make moves while hoping your young guys make the next step.

Outside chance Knight can become a good 6th man and regain his value and you can flip him at a later point.

I answered it above... if you know they wouldn't offer that why suggest it and then later say you'd do that deal... I'd trade the #24 for Steph Curry but that ain't happening.

Isn't it better to answer and say what would they plausibly offer that you'd accept...

I'd do that before Hayward signed... that is a fleecing.
