2017 Draft Thread

The Jazz are awesome at letting assets expire and drafting 3rd string point guards. They get it done every year

Has DL done a quick interview somewhere? He usually do them after the draft doesn't he?

Does the fact that he hasn't done it this year mean that he's still fielding calls on that Favors trade?

Celtics draft 2 x SF with Crowder and Jaylen Brown already on the roster??? And looking to bring in Hayward + PG13??

Why are you so mad? It was a solid draft overall. What were you expecting the Jazz to do that wasn't done?

Crowder & Brown will have to be moved to have the cap room for PG13 and Hayward. I don't think they get PG13 and Hayward though. I think they are sold on Tatum. They had a chance to move #3 for Butler straight up and didn't do it. That says a lot. I think they trade for PG13 OR try to sign Hayward. It doesn't make sense for them to gut their roster like they would need to do for both. Especially with their other needs. I'll feel pretty good right now about Hayward staying. If Boston's pitch is last years Boston roster + Tatum we are in GREAT shape.

Laziest, stupidest, worst comps ever.

Seriously

Better than CJ Miles = MJ

Let's take it a step further...

Trade up in the draft to take an undersized one dimensional back court player? Check

Draft a moderately athletic big, who is flying under nobody's radar, 4 to 8 picks too high? Check.

Comps are pretty solid. Please log out of life.

Kind of hate the Tibor signing right now. Cost the Jazz a solid pick to unload him. Should have just cut him and kept the picks. Would have had their choice between Bolden, Semi, Bell and Evans. Hell, could have had two of those guys if they'd wanted to buy up into that range like Golden State and LA did.

Speaking of MJ... He still thinks your comparisons are quite a stretch.

I think the Knicks drafting the french guard is a mistake, Dennis Smith Jr was the sure thing in my opinion. Knicks fans acting like it's the perfect pick during the draft when in fact Smith jr was the correct pick.

I really want to see him in SL at least. I think he's gonna light it up. (go to the link above, there is a video of him shooting 3s... he drained like... 18 in a row. Literally IN A ROW)

The Warriors spent 3.5 million to draft Jordan Bell.

I guess that give some credence to those of us who really liked him.

Kinda concerns me a little bit on DM's feel for the game. He sure has the tools to be an elite on ball defender, but needs to improve his defensive awareness as he was often caught ball watching and lost track of his man.

Did anyone hear the Josh Jackson/Boston story? Ainge, Stevens, and some other coaches all got on a plane to Sacramento from Bostn for a workout with Josh Jackson but he cancelled it while they all in the middle of the flight.

Damn... ! No wonder they passed him. lol And now, Jackson was saying teams are gonna regret passing on him after the draft.
