Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but doesnt Gobert get a million dollar bonus because of this?

He gambled a lot on the passing lanes, often successfully, which is why he got a ton of steals. But he wasn't that great of a man on man defender.

Phil Jackson said Scottie Pippen was the best defender he ever saw. He said Pippen always guarded the other team's best player in the 4th quarter whether it was PG, SG, SF, or PF.

Pippen never won DPOY, but guess who did? Lil ole MJ. That is the perfect example of how popularity trumps fairness. MJ wasn't even the best defender on his own team.

He guarded Malone in both finals
Malone was Jazz best player
No way Pippen stops Malone
