So how the **** are these guys gonna get signed? Obviously many will just stand pat or go elsewhere on the MLE. But if the Nets, King, Pacers, Bulls and Suns don't want to sign, let's say Ibaka just to use as an example, AND the Raptors don't want to re-up him on some bad contract, then won't the dude get paid no more than the full MLE from some team?

I see a lot of dudes, ala George Hill, being shut out of a lot money, they probably thought they were gonna get. I'm a broken record here but this is why if Lindsey manages things right this off-season and can stay under the LT, we could definitely re-sign Exum, Favors and/or Hood next summer since the LT is rumored to barely be going up and most teams will be presumably in worse shape then than they are now.

Will there just be a lot of one year full MLE's? Or trades?

Also, would the Nets bite on Burks and a 2nd for Koufos? The latter is paid a couple million less and his deal ends the same summer. Koufos would be a really solid backup 5 too.

Why would anyone take Burks right now? The dude is straight broken right now unfortunately

We're at $94M in guaranteed contracts and that is not including Diaw. If Hayward re-signs we would be over the luxury tax by $5M. If we could dump Burks we could get under the luxury tax and still sign someone for around $5.5M.

We can dump players like Burks or make a trade at the trade deadline to get us under the luxury tax line. We dont have to do it now.

When the Jazz get Hayward's deal finalized, I fully expect them to use their one of their exceptions to add frontline depth and then work a deal for Burks. They have until the trade deadline to make it work, but I think they'll just move him if they can get a favorable deal. They might send picks out, but it won't be a first rounder. Otherwise, they let him get healthy and hope that he rehabs his value to the point he brings back a solid asset - similar to Lou Williams last year.

Also, thinking that if the Jazz get Hayward locked up, they might just cut Diaw and bring him back on a one year minimum deal. Not sure that fat Boris is done in Utah depending on how the dominoes fall.

MLE is best you are going to expect, unless you are on one of 5 teams with space.
