Wha? You've never made $57 million dollars in 7 years time? Say it ain't so!

Crazy to think at this rate, Hayward will retire probably having made 200-250 million dollars over the course of his career. I mean basketball players have always made a lot, but this new contract is amazing.
 
If people are actually threatening his family, that's totally out of line. And it makes all of us look bad, IMO.

That's why we come here to vent instead of personally attacking his wife and kids. I'm sure my resentment will decrease (especially if we get a ring before Boston does), but right now I've got it in spades -- along with a total loss of respect.

I wonder if they anticipated, even a little bit closely, the level of flack they'd be getting over this.

It's the internet. Of course this is happening. If they didn't anticipate this, then they'z crazay.

BTW, I'm not condoning any threats. But there's bat**** crazy stuff that gets posted online like every 0.5 seconds. And as far as the Haywoods are concerned, nobody should believe that 100% of the threatening gestures are actually from jazz fans, since their are definitely masqueraders out there.

I'd suggest that Robin and Robyn get used to filtering and drowning out mainstream and social media noise. That'll be important to their development; it's a big part of achieving something on the nonbasketball stage they chose.

hayward decided Boston probably like 6 months ago. I told you, even hayward himself said the first person he talked to after he got the all-star nod was his former and now current coach, Brad "looks like a fratboy" stevens.

we know what it was all along. F hayward.

I don't even think losing him is all that big. The system made him good, gobert screens, players setting him up. Also haywood vanished down the stretch in quite a few games vs the clips. Thanks Big boss Joe Johnson for bailing out everybody.

The fact that Hayward didn’t give DL that respect makes me guess that DL and what he must have said to Hayward to go find a team to give him a RFA contract may be a pretty big reason why he left

Not buying your last point at all. There has been years for that to be water under the bridge. If GH even still thinks about that, it shows a complete lack of maturity. The Jazz taking that approach was the right thing to do but that is another conversation. I think he didn't talk to DL because he didn't have the fortitude to do so. It is a matter of simple respect. GH didn't know what to say because there was no good logic to his decision. DL and the Jazz went out of there way to take care of Gordon and make him the man. That in and of itself deserves a conversation. I think GH is a decent guy but this is very bad form.

If he doesn't want to talk about it, then he is not yet prepared as to how to respond without ripping on Hayward.
12+ hours ago, so maybe he's more ready now.
