What's new

Rate the Off-season.

Doesn't matter what we were. It's what we ARE. Our offense will struggle, there's no doubt.

It likely will. But you seemed to be over-exaggerating the extent of the struggles by pointing out that we were "ALREADY WERE ONE OF THE LOWEST SCORING TEAMS IN THE NBA LOL". Hell, it was such an important part of your point that you even put it in all caps, so I just thought it was worth adding context.

Seems pretty good

Mitchell seems great
Bradley seems good
Did a favor for a well-respected college baller in NWG
Turned a 1st RD pick into a starting PG
Re-signed a good player who wants to play for Utah
Couldn't much help Hayward signing with Butler

Hood made a comment yesterday saying that GH hid his real intention real good during that meeting. I don't think anyone really knows how he thinks. He is one who skirts around controversy though. So I doubt he told the Jazz to trade him. Just kept quiet till he was UFA

The further we get from this event the more warts appear on Hayward's image as a teammate and a person. Yes some of it is sour grapes; but it's also looking more and more that Hayward was ready to bolt and this was apparent for some time. Between Locke's comment last week that someone in the Celtics FO told him a year and a half ago that Hayward to Boston was a done deal and now Booker's comment about Hayward wanting to leave and not be "the man" makes me wonder if the FO went through this dog and pony show just to save face with the fans and the media. So then Rubio was just a rebuild move disguised as a gesture to appease Hayward and they re-signed Ingles for no other reason than he's a decent player who wants to be in Utah.

My thoughts exactly. I'm wondering if the FO couldn't get a straight answer from him because he didn't want to get DWilled of to Brooklyn. If that happens he doesn't have Snyders system to make him look as good as he has.

Losing Wayward sucks. But if he didn't really wanna be here, there isn't anything more they could have done to keep him. For me, the salve for that wound is Mitchell. Really excited to see him develop. And then there's Rudy. I was beginning to feel last season like this is his team anyway; and he actually wants that job.

I'm really happy about the Rubio pickup.

I think the Jazz FO have done everything they could, but had their hands tied waiting on this flubbed "decision." I do worry about our spacing and the 4 spot for sure. But the fat lady hasn't sung yet. B+ so far.
