Trades: Trades are allowed, they are fun and part of the game but I'd suggest If you are trading into an OTC pick you must then pick straight away. For a trade to be vetoed a minimum of 6 (or roughly 1/3) the competition must state they have an issue with the trade, I don't think there is any need for a poll as it will just slow things up.

Tiebreaker: Before the competition starts select 3 people to be the tiebreaker. They vote as usual but in the event of a tie their votes will carry more weight.

I liked the suggestion that you can trade your pick it just has to be done before you are on the clock.
 
I'd suggest you can still trade an OTC pick because people generally try to trade up for an OTC pick, its just that when that trade is made a selection has to be made straight after.

I think the main idea is to stop the people who get on the clock then say they are open to offers for the pick and so forth.

I like the idea of otc trades. Easier to gage if u can pick up an extra pick and still get your guy. Taking those trades away takes away some of the fun and strategy. It's the summer and it's boring, why speed this up. Take our time and have some god damn fun for hell sakes!!
 
We're already at 16 teams. Do we want to try to get to 20? I know a few people said if there is more than 16 they're out so maybe getting more would be counterproductive.
 
What are we thinking as far as a tie-breaker goes?

Whoever gets the most votes from the other teams in the competition or have a three person committee who doesn't vote on any of the matchups?

Any other ideas are also welcome.

So you prefer people taking more time? Would you prefer everyone taking their full allotment to explore trades?

If someone is online and available to make a pick then it will move along much faster if they are not trying to trade. There is no reason you can get a trade done well ahead of time. Unless you are the first couple picks but I doubt anyone trades those.

For me it was frustrating to check in frequently to see if I am on the clock and realize I am next up and have to keep checking to see if they finished before I went to bed. But I guess I could have just gone to bed and made everyone wait more. If notifications actually worked... that would speed things up for me.

Ill put Fish on official text duty for when I am OTC.

On the flip side if this things takes forever who cares I guess.
