What's new

Game Of Thrones

There's no way to Searcy is having that baby. Back in like season 3 when she had the prophecies given to her by that which she said that all three of her children shall wear gold shrouds and be buried in them. Didn't say anything about this new baby so I doubt it lasts till birth

I wonder if she is even pregnant. She might have just been tying Jaime to her at that moment. She was starting to doubt his loyalty and resolve. She knows that a pregnancy would tie him to her during the times ahead. It would take a couple months for him to know she isn't pregnant.

I doubt everything out of that characters mouth lol.

I think Davos is the obvious death. They just had the reunion of Davos and Gendry so it makes you care more about Davos, so now they can kill him and have it be even more of an emotional impact. Davos also keeps repeating how useless he is in combat now. Basically, I think Davos has served his purpose, especially after the smuggling scene, and now he is expendable in the story line.

I will be pretty pissed. Davos is a top 5 character currently.

Davos didn't go north of the Wall. He stayed behind.

It was Snow, Gendry, Hound, The brotherhood and Tormund and some of his free folk.

Re-watched it, you are right. Maybe Gendry dies then. In the trailer you see the Hound using a weapon that looks like Gendry's hammer.

If they re-introduced Gendry just to have him die quickly will be a disappointment IMO. I want to see him just smashing everything with that giant hammer. Everyone else has a sword. mix it up a little.

They kind of had to reintroduce him or it would just be a major loose end. It was a pretty convenient way of getting him back in the story w/ the Tyrion/Jamie meeting. They have him and Jon do battle together as an ode to their fathers (well Jon's step-father) doing battle together then they have him killed. They even used meta humor when they brought him back.

I think he is still needed to make dragon glass weapons.

What's the best order to read the GOT books in? Aren't there a ton of prequels?

The book are written in order. I think there are some other books based on the GOT universe, like Dunk and Egg or something, but I'd just start with the Song of Ice and Fire book "Game of Thrones."

I'm done with Littlefinger. He's just a stale character at this point. There aren't many people left for him to meaningfully plot against, and he's just kind of a drag on the whole program. His schtick is just old.

I completely agree. I get the impression that Martin has some role for him in the final showdown and the show-runners just don't know what to do with him in the meantime.

Davos is the glue guy. He's like the de facto narrator in every set. He's kind of necessary. One or more of the brotherhood could be removed, and it wouldn't hurt things much.

He's kind of stirring some muck with the Stark sisters, but unless he's going to have another pissing contest with Varys in the future, I think his days are numbered. The rumor is that his betrayal of Ned Stark may get revealed somehow and may make him persona non grata with the Starks at Winterfell. Bran scares the **** out of him.

Sansa, not Arya, is gonna take that dagger and kill Littlefinger in the season finale, since I believe he was the one who tried to have Bran assassinated.
