Trey Lyles got a DNP/CD in the Nuggs preseason game last night. Trey Burke signed a deal with the Knicks. Spike Lee is going to be so happy as is Horney.
 
It's a G-League deal:

The 24-year-old has some current Knicks ties: He's was teammates with Tim Hardaway Jr. at Michigan, where GM Scott Perry used to be an assistant coach. But it's unlikely that Burke will make the roster, and that the Knicks signed him for his G League rights, meaning he will spend this season with Westchester.

The team already has the maximum 15 players on guaranteed deals, but, according to ESPN, it can keep a 16th player for the first 12 games when Joakim Noah is serving his PED suspension.

Even then I don't see how he plays in Denver... they have options and all are better than him. Dude was gift wrapped an opportunity here and blew it.

I don't know if it's about pull his head out of his ***. He's just not that good. Same with Burke -- guys who looked great in college but simply aren't talented enough to make a mark in the NBA.

Yes and no. Burke had physical limitations that his talent wasn't able to overcome. Lyles doesn't have that problem, and as happy as I am that he's gone, it's way too early to lump him in with Trey Burke.

0 - 5 shooting in 6 minutes of play. Is that a higher per 48 minute chucker rating than a CJ Miles preseason game? I do believe so. That's a per 48 rate of 40 shots per game. Is there a reason they sat him after just 6 minutes and didn't play him any more?

The game before that he played fine as he does from time to time. But then again, there was that 2 - 6 on just 6 points in 22 minutes. I can't imagine Lyles plays ahead of Millsap, Manimal, Plumlee, Jokic, or Chandler (small ball). Lyles is going to be competing with Darrell Arthur and Lydon for the 6 - 9th big man spot.

I almost hate giggling about getting Mitchell over it too much because the Nuggets may never trade with us again but... then again... they forgot about Gobert the first time.

Hernangomez too and Arthur is better than Lyles and it isn't close. He's not always healthy though. Trey Lyles bench celebrations will be in point though.

Lyles looked like **** in college imo.

Probably my all time most hated draft pick I ever saw from the jazz.

And I could be wrong but I think we open the season against the nuggets.
Poor ******** gonna have to watch gobert and mitchell be stars.
