I am a season ticket holder and attend all the home games and watch the road games but I must not be paying close enough attention.

Coach seems to be doing an incredible job making adjustments but I am not smart enough to recognize what adjustments he is making. It seems like we are passing the ball better but now we are just hitting open shots when earlier in the year we were missing open shots.

Help me understand what Snyder is doing to make this team of seemingly no real offensive talent be so effective recently on offense.

You don't to have the sound very loud to hear Coach Q yelling "move the ball"! He is getting it through their heads we can't get the ball stuck in someones hands and get a very good look. Not with the current players. I believe they are buying in and it's making a difference. Coach also preaches if you're open shoot, which give guys confidence. Spacing is better without two post bigs also which facilitates more open shots.
 
It's simple (since this offense is simple pickup ball drive and dish trash with a ton of pnr thrown in). They score well in games when they take care of the ball and get hot from the 3 point line. They are number one in forcing turnovers but only 18 in taking care of the ball. So, when they take care of the ball they have a volume possession advantage.
 
It is basketball basics. Move the ball. Move if you don't have the ball. Drive and kick. Rinse. Repeat. I don't see him making any masterful moves, just getting the team to work the basics is paying off right now. I think he is somewhat over-rated, tbh.

He's a Popicat and his adjustments have been good. The offense is simply **** without a dominant go to. That's why everyone is in love with Mitchell and Hood so much.
 
Since when did implementing a playing style that maximizes the talent of the team in a way that is both fundamental and cutting edge in its adaptiveness and simplicity "trash" or "overrated"? Every offense is **** without an offensive hub, yet here the Jazz are, nearing .500 even though nobody really wants them to win games right now.
 
I'll be interested what happens when Gobert comes back. The offense has been much better without him and the defense has been not far off from when he was here. Favors is obviously a C and not a PF and him and Gobert don't fit real well together with Rubio.

I think the recent stretch is due to playing a bunch of poor defensive teams as well as players executing Quin’s offense better. It’s shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that, with a coach who is known for granular attention to detail, the offense would improve as new players and players in new roles learn his system. Still, There’s a reason they call it a make or miss league, and guys like Rubio have been hitting threes at a rate that will probably not last.

December will be really interesting, the Jazz will be facing much better defensive teams. I feel like 6 wins is optimistic.

People don't ever have to go out of their way to praise Quin, but only the best/most prominent basketball writer in the world thinks he's pretty good as does everyone whose word means anything.

He wasn't always great, but it's weird what happens when you put faith in people.

He has a touch of genious and thinking outside of the box sometimes, which I prefer having over a coach that's stuck in a set mindset. Sometimes I've thought to myself why did he do that? And further in the game I was like aaaahhhh, well played well played.

@NUMBERICA When was the last time 41 motion was considered an innovative system? In the 1970's? Tell me the importance of the inside man always adjusting to the weak side of the floor and maybe I'll engage (BTW, Quin Popicat throws some strong side wrinkles into that with Gobert).
