History says it's very dangerous to make trades like this for tier 1 draft prospects like Ayton. It has to be a blow you away type scenario. Ayton at PF isn't ideal, but he is very quick for his size, more than current Favors. Much better jump shooter too, makes 48% of his jumpers. Now if it was Bamba instead of Ayton, probably would force my hand into trading him for a McCollum or Walker level player.
Ayton ultimately is too stiff to start at PF, but obviously if there's any C he could do it next to it's Rudy, it's not a long term solution tho because Ayton is gonna be really big as he ages.....
He would have a massive advantage on the offensive glass vs every single matchup other than Anthony Davis I suppose..
Bamba is more of the Porzingis style unicorn u want to gamble on for this and Rudy and Mo on the same team on the same court together will just look absurd, the court will look tiny as hell.. It'd be viable, people been trying to coach Mo into the pure C spot for years, but he could function well like that tbh, imho, next to Rudy..
There's really alot of interesting lesser options of these PF/C shotblocking archetypes in this draft too.. Daniel Gafford, Robert Williams, Mitchell Robinson, Jaren Jackson
