Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

As far as I know, he's fully guaranteed, and owed ~$19 million per season after this one.

In other words, if you think a draft pick is worth $37+ million in addition to whatever cap ramifications, then, I mean... I hope you're getting Donovan Mitchell 2.

The closest possible avenue I can see a deal happening for the Jazz is sending Rubio and Burks for Noah and the pick in order to free up $7-$8 million in cap for the 2018 offseason. But then they'd have to also renounce rights, cut, or trade Exum, Udoh, Jerebko, Thabo, and probably Hood and Neto in order to have substantial cap space. So in that case, they'd better have a damn clue what they're doing.

In short, nothing is happening.

Yeah it'd have to be a BKN type offer... 2018 and 2020 unprotected picks and right to swap next year. That is an ugly *** deal.

Johnson reminds me of a more hyped of version of that Singleton guy from Hayward's draft I think.

You mean Chris Singleton? I don't see it (at least based on my limited memory), other than sharing reps for D and iffy shooting. Wasn't Singleton intriguing because of his height and length for his SF position? And also known for relatively poor ball skills/offensive feel? Johnson's virtues, on the other hand are strength/agility and at least some potential in the skills/feel arena, though in a rather short package for a SF, and esp. for a PF?

Has anybody put together a deal for Saric? I can't think of anything that makes enough sense for both sides but I think he should definitely be a target.

Stitches earlier suggested Hood and JJ for Saric and Bayless... I think Saric is a tough get... he's good and cheap. Would be a great fit, but I don't think we have the juice.

Meant in turns of hype. At least from my perspective because I was high on both of them.

Saric is a guy Id include a pick for, even this years 1st.

Hood and 1st (2018 or 2019) for Saric.

Yeah they could easily get a first if they wanted to move Saric.

Juan Hernangomez is probably most gettable, probably would just simply have to take on a Faried or Chandler.

I like him a lot... I'd go for that.
