Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

I remember GS winning a ton of games and getting into the 8th seed and knocking off the Mavericks.

That Mavs team matched up horribly against the "we believe" Warriors. Everyone knew it, and it had been evident throughout the season. It would be like the Jazz beating the Warriors soundly the next two games then getting them in the first round.

In the NHL it happened with the Edmonton Oilers in 2006. In the last 37 games they only lost 7 times, sneaking into the 8th seed.

They were the first NHL team ever to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, after upsetting the first seed, and then the 5th seed, and then the 6th seed before making it all the way to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup (losing 3-1).

Their coach also pooped the bed. He decided to play the Warrior's game and go small instead of doing what the Jazz did in the next round which was playing their game and punishing their weaknesses.

You don't beat inferior opponents by trying to do what they are best at.

Then Cuban accused Nelson of having insider knowledge.

It looks like it will help us. They play the spurs next week, then the jazz on the 25th. They can still beat the spurs with how bad they are right now, and it helps the jazz with Klay out.
They won't play another team in the race till Oklahoma on April 3rd and pelicans on the 7th. Then the jazz is the last game of the season for them. I don't think they are going to have a shot at first, so probably will be resting for the playoffs. It just made 2 of the hardest games left on the schedule much more winnable. I think it's great news.

I think Golden State is going to want to stay in front of Toronto. Toronto is 9-7 against the WC playoff teams and San Antonio with two games to go against the Clippers and Thunder -- that also includes two wins against Houston. They're also a good home team. Toronto lost both games to GS, but they were close -- 2 points at home and 5 points on the road.

This is a great point!

I think golden state just cares about staying healthy. They ain’t scurred of the raps. I doubt they are all that worried about Cleveland or Houston either.

They aren’t perfect but they are soooooooo damned good.

More hilarity about Wiggins (can't believe the stupids who would trade for him), is that he's complaining about being a third option. You know, the guy who takes more shots than anyone else on the team, on top of being really bad.

Remember how hard everyone tanked for that pick? He was consensus #1 in a draft that was being touted as the strongest in years. Watching this stuff unfold has cured me forever of the desire to tank. There are better ways to build a team.
