10 games remaining/ Keys to success (4th seed)

With 10 games remaining in a very close Western Conference Playoff race. Our fate lies in not only what we can control (wins and gameplay) but also what we cant control (success of SAS, OKC, NOP & MINN)
1. Goes without saying, we need to win. There is no tomorrow only today and every win matters.
2. We need a little luck and the listed opposing teams above need to lose.

If the Jazz get stuck at a 7th or 8th seed we are toast. Not because we cant beat the Warriors or the Rockets, but because we will have no momentum or confidence built up.

If we are a 4th or even 5th seed, I think that we can definitely dismantle our competition and advance to the next round, where we can give any team that we face a problem.

It is going to come down to Rubio.
When he's hot, we win. When he's cold we lose.
The Jazz obviously don't have an allstar, and most people will tell you that in todays NBA you need not 1 but 2. (Golden State has 4)
I think this is a misconception.

We play a team style offense and defense, never relying on any one single player. There is only black and white with this and no gray area.
The downside is that, if you have a guy that is off or having a bad game, it will cost you a win, no questions. However the upside is that if all cylinders are firing, you can beat the best regardless of star power.

Rubio is an X-factor. He moves the ball into motion a majority of the game, and he will defend some of the best talent of an opposing team.
Golden State: Steph Curry
Houston: Chris Paul or occasionally James Harden
Portland: Damien Lillard
OKC: Westbrook
NOP: Jrue Holliday

His defense, ball handling, distribution and shot selection have to be perfect to get the better side of a +/- on his opponent.

What does that say about a team when they can't slow down Dennis Shroder? To me it says we have an exploitable weakness. Unless Rubio is playing hurt and will get healed up I don't know that we can correct for it.

Wouldn't qualify tonight as a "must win" but it's a massive freaking game. We need this one.

Is Curry going to be back for the GSW game? If we could steal that one, that's a gift.

Boston @ home is a must win as well with Kyrie out.

we need some peeps to go to spurstalk.

this is the biggest spurs vs jazz game since the 2012 playoffs

Curry probable
Durant out
Klay out
Draymond questionable

Note that Curry has a nagging ankle injury, they might want to sit him out vs league's best defense.

Winning the next 3 is very possible.

We're also still on a 12 game road winning streak. If the Jazz can win the rest of their road games, they'll set the All-Time record for a road game winning streak.

For the Jazz or the NBA?

Can't believe what I saw tonight. Gobert placed on LMA, and LMA goes off for a career high. Meanwhile Gobert plays 40 minutes and doesn't block a single shot. He was not aggressive defensively at all. He looked tired and stagnant. How do you allow LMA to score 45 on you, when you were once considered a DPOY candidate? Unreal.
