Can We Work Another Trade with Denver?

You need to start smoking weed. A lot of it.
Legal in Colorado, not in Utah. I think that explains the trades.

But to really mess with Denver, get a fake rumor started that Lindsey is trying to trade up to #15 to draft player X (some stiff rated as a round 2 player). Then watch the Nuggets take that player.

Who you calling a lunatic?!

Won't be just the nuggets, all the teams will be watching to see who Lindsey brings in for work-outs and which players catch his eye. I still believe that is how Kuzma ended up on Lakers rather than the Jazz last season.

You think that the Lakers heard that the Jazz were bringing a player in for a workout and that's what convinced them to draft him?

Not exactly as you say it, but yea I believe Lindsey wanted Kuzma and I suspect Lakers figured that out and it influenced their decision to draft him.

the lakers had him in for workouts too. couldve sold himself there.

Hmm. I'm interested in knowing how you think they could have figured that out. It's not like the Jazz didn't bring in a lot of people or that there wasn't an obvious reason to bring him in (Utah connection). I'm as impressed with Lindsey as the next guy, but I have no way of knowing that he would have taken Kuzma if he'd been available. It seems like an even bigger stretch to think that the Lakers, instead of doing their own research on players, are somehow stealing signs from the Jazz. The bottom line, to me, is that if anyone (Lindsey included) had known that Kuzma was going to be as good as he has turned out to be, they would have figured out a way to take him earlier.

I wonder what Tomic's draft rights would fetch us from them.
