Ranking details: I used the following mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

Changes from v 10.0: I added a bunch of new mock drafts (~7 or 8). In total there are FOURTEEN mock drafts which are new and/or have been updated since the last version of my compilation.

I am really not a fan of Jan. A long athletic wing who cannot shoot just isn't very successful in the NBA anymore. It's all about loading up your team with shooters and bombing away from deep.

Changes from v 10.0: I added a bunch of new mock drafts (~7 or 8). In total there are FOURTEEN mock drafts which are new and/or have been updated since the last version of my compilation.

Fredette keeps slipping and slipping on the board. :)

Note: I just edited the original post, to give *all previous rankings*, instead of just the most recent previous ranking. I think I'll continue to include that info from now on.

3 Brandon Knight (6-6-6-6-6-4-3-4-3-3)

I mentioned this in an earlier post, but here's the evidence. The change from 6 to 4 (and now 3) happened the day the Jazz got the #3 pick. So apparently a whole bunch of mock drafts simply think the Jazz will take the player they WOULD have taken at #6, at #3 instead. I don't get it.

Ah...I thought the smilie was to indicate that you were happy with the so-called "slip".

I'm starting to lean toward Kanter as my preference over Knight. As much as I like both of them, the Millsap/Jefferson combo just isn't going to work defensively in the long run. Their pick-and-roll D is pretty horrendous. It opens up more options at the #12 pick too...
