2018 Championship Bus!!!!

Is tonight the most important game since the Jazz finals team?

What qualifies as most important? Did the D-Will/Boozer WCF team qualify? Maybe game 7 v. the Rockets on the road in 2007, when we pulled that off? That was in the first round. But it let us slip through round 2 to WCF.

No, but most important since the Deron/Boozer/Okur Western Conference Finals team.
Boozer was so good. 35 and 14 in game 7, being guarded by Yao for the most part. D-Will with 20 pts 14 assists. First road win of the series, and it happened in game 7.

The game 7 was first round. It was a fun game but this feels much more important. After that I felt we easily controlled GS and that series was easy and never in question and then we never had a chance against the Spurs. This feels like it could be the biggest series win since the getting to the finals.

Also we never seemed to have a chance against the Lakers after that in that era.

We have a chance to take the lead against a #1 seed. I guess maybe I would listen to an argument for game 1 or 2 of the spurs series for the conference finals being as important.

Also this team is definitely better than any team since S&M days and has the potential to surpass any Jazz team. I dont think the Boozer/Dwill teams could hang with this squad at all. Advanced stats would back that up to.

A good podcast about the Jazz Rockets series from 538 yesterday. They start talking about the Jazz at the 10 min mark btw.

They say Houston should be very concerned.

They said Gordon has been bad the entire playoffs and is a concern. CP3 is a concern as well.

They said they beat the Rockets at their own game. They talked about Mitchells fast learning and that the pick and roll changed this game. The Jazz and Mitchell figured out how to run it this game and that should be sustainable and how much it opens up the court. They basically said everyone stepped up from the role players but Mitchell was the big difference maker in this game. If Mitchell finds his shot Houston will be concerned. They also talked about Ingles being a good player in the pick and roll. They said Houston defense was off and they might fix that. He assumes Houston will fix some stuff and Jazz will have to figure things out again. He talked about Mitchell adjusting to being the ball handler and a different style with Rubio out. They talked about how Jazz can adapt and beat you in different ways which is one of their strengths.

They said the Rockets are still the favorites. They said there are things wrong with Houston in the playoffs and not playing up to full speed and that we might see them step up.

Ok, I see what you're saying. Yeah, going up a game on the one seed would be like the 2007 squad going a game up on the Spurs, which was never going to happen. GSW still lurk behind the Rockets this year, but we've actually beat them 3 out of 4 times this season. Only one of those wins, perhaps, was close to the playoff Warriors, but still. That's a solid win. We have a bit of a chance. It seems improbable, but not impossible. OK, I am leaning toward this being the biggest game since the Finals team.

Watch that Yams video and replace it withDon Mitch and picture the whole Delta Center chanting that.
