Mitchell must dwell into the dark side of the force if he wishes to enter the next level..

He needs to learn to flail around a bit. Like on the steal where mitchell was fouled, he didn't flail his arms around like Harden does. The refs are quite stupid and think if you don't flail a bit then there is no foul.

His entire off season should be him watching film on harden and how Harden abuses the game to draw fouls. If Mitchell can average the same amount of FTs a game as Harden then I think Mitchell might get about 28ppg next season.

Even though I hate this kind of basketball I agree with you. It’s the way the game is played now. Don’t hate the playa hate the game, I guess.

the premise is getting the refs on your side... those are called the "superstar calls". As good as Don has been, he's still a rookie. it'll take time for the league to categorize him as a superstar

Donovan will start getting the benefit of the whistle as early as next season I think. He doesn’t even actually have to fake contact (even though he probably should sometimes), he just needs to get out of this rookie year and start setting into his super star roll. He’s going to get more calls, but in his first post season, as a rookie, going against a team with a couple well known names who are great flippers he’s not going to get the benefit of the whistle. He/the Jazz will soon be on the better side of this IMO, but it’s not going to be this series.

I think Donovan should learn to draw fouls, but the only one he should lock arms with is Harden.

Agreed. So long as the league calls that crap then we should take advantage of it. The fact remains that off the ball you can mug players but on the ball the 'harden flail' is a skill as Oladipo said. If mitchell becomes harden two we will win 8 more games a season right there.

But what really should happen is that the refs should figure it out. They are getting played by harden. 1500 more free throws!!!

It’s more than just the calls. It’s also that he plays for Utah. He can learn every trick in the book from Harden. It won’t mean **** if he plays here. He needs years of alpha dog play before he even thinks of trying to draw phantom fouls.

Harden fouled them on both plays using his off-arm to lock theirs. What's wrong with these refs. It's not that they can't see it; they're using very poor judgment. This is why teams need an enforcer to make players who do this kind of crap pay for it. When he locks their arms, then they should yank his arm so hard he'll never do it again. It's really bush league stuff what he's doing.

I don’t ever want to see Mitchell play like Harden. Jordan/Wade/Kobe. That would be the type of play he emulates. He does that, and he’ll get superstar calls. Can’t believe that the league lets Harden/Paul get away with that crap.
I mean, Harden and Wade drew fouls the same way (besides the stuff at the 3pt line). Wade might have been worse. He averaged 16 FTA per game in his first finals series against the Mavericks.
