the NBA is setting a new standard for blatant abuse of its own rules to get the matchups it wants in the conference finals. Tonight DeRozan got ejected for contesting a Jordan Clarkson lay up and hitting Clarkson in the head. If you saw the play, at least DeRozan made some semblance of an attempt to make a play on the ball. PJ Tucker, however, can slap Joe square in the face and it’s only a flagrant one? I have been an NBA fan since the early 80’s. I don’t remember it ever being this obvious. Well, other than Jordan’s push off of BRuss.

I don't know if it does any good but complain to @OfficialNBARefs

Or you can call the new head of NBA officials, Michelle Johnson, at 212-407-8000, ext 8275

I did both. But you need to have a groundswell of people doing it to make any headway. Show them we mean business and start complaining. I know everyone here says I'm a whiner; well, if you don't make your voice heard, it won't be heard and things will stay the same. It's 20 years since the Jordan push-off and the refs are still abusing the Jazz.
 
I will agree it has been blatant but the NBA is also about money and Cleveland vs Boston is huge as is Houston vs Golden st. Hell i might even watch the Houston/GSW series.
 
You are right, I was intrigued about the reason why Tucker wasn't ejected after that contact with Ingles's face. The NBA has been pretty consistent this season calling a flagrant when there's involuntary contact with an opponent's head or throat, but in Tucker's case the ball wasn't even near the play and was obvious that Tucker's intention was to make contact. How that wasn't a flagrant 2 is beyond my comprehension.
 
The NBA is rigged. Always has been. It's fun to watch until the team you cheer for ends up playing one of the "lebron, Durrant, Harden" teams.

On topic:
Houston, Golden State, Cleveland and Boston. Don’t need help. They’ve each been the better team in their series. Houston has been much better than the Jazz and deserve to win. Refs definitely aren’t perfect but it’s weak af to blame them for our losses.

I still had fun. I’m sorry you can’t accept losing to a better team when we are led by a rookie.

I did though. It's just entertainment. I just need to remember that. Kinda like a movie but the good guy dies at the end every time.

When a game is a blowout, and most of these have been, you can't blame the refs. Now, if it's a one, two or three point game, then you can say you got hosed by the refs!
 
Its not rigged. The NBA does not pick the winners and refs don't have an agenda for who is supposed to win.

However, the stars of this league use referees like ****ing puppets and the NBA allows it to happen. Does it help stars win? Of course.

In game 4, there were 3 blatant fouls by James Harden the refs completely avoided:

1st quarter - Mitchell blows by Harden, Harden reaches out and grabs DM's left arm, and DM throws up a circus shot that goes in. DM threw it up because he expected a foul call that didn't happen.

3rd Quarter - Exum blows by Harden who sticks his leg out causing Exum to stumble and hurt his leg. Should have been a foul call before Exum even turned the corner.

4th Quarter - Mitchell attacks the rim with 2:15 left, Harden hits his left arm, DM misses the short shot.

Mitchell has fought foul trouble all series. Harden has been gifted the ability to stay in the game. A 13 point game might seem like a blowout, but a couple star calls per quarter add up.

The good thing is that it is possible to break into the top teams. Most of the time I've been a fan of the Jazz, I would have never foreseen a day when Golden State would be one of the favored teams.

Yeah. Unlikely it would have been that turnout for a GSW/Jazz match-up.
