...and hes still is just as good of a dude today as he was a year ago
Iirc there was some speculation that he was just doing it as kind of a warm up interview because the jazz weren't in a position to draft him.I guess I never realized that his workout with the Jazz was his first pre-draft workout.
I rarely watch draft workout interviews, but I remember watching this one the day it came out. I so impressed with his humble approach and poise. Kid is a legend. We are so lucky to have him.
No **** Sherlock.A legend?
No **** Sherlock.
He is a legend. That made no sense.
Yep. That's when I fell in love with him. His focus on defense, expressing his infatuation with the organization and state, his knowledge of the team; I couldn't believe how well-spoken and poised he was. I thought the workout with Utah was more a result of his relationship with Lindsey's son and him just wanting to get a feel for the process before the "real" workouts began with teams that would be in his draft range.I rarely watch draft workout interviews, but I remember watching this one the day it came out. I so impressed with his humble approach and poise. Kid is a legend. We are so lucky to have him.
And then we found out that’s just Donovan.....and this happened before July 4th, but this interview, the interview the day he was drafted, it was all almost too good to be true for what happened on July 4th. He quite literally hit on every point this fanbase wanted from a player and knocked them out of the park. If you could create a perfect personality and player for this franchise especially, but really any franchise, the end product would be the guy we got at 13 last year. Love him and hope he’s here a long while.Yep. That's when I fell in love with him. His focus on defense, expressing his infatuation with the organization and state, his knowledge of the team; I couldn't believe how well-spoken and poised he was.
****, come on man. Donovan is a ****ing legend. Don't play this game.A legend?
A legend?
Yeah get rid of the question mark that’s exactly what he is.A legend?
You need to take 6 minutes and 34 seconds out of your day to watch this video which only captures 11 playoff games. All of these highlights were done in only 11 games. It's actually kind of mind-blowing. It would be hard to come up with a more exciting 6.5 minutes for Hayward using his all of his 7 years here. Or Boozer in his time. Etc, etc, etc.
So yes, this kid is already legendary.
Watch it. All of it.
A legend?
