5 years? How convenient, by then you will have suffocated in your own mile-high pile of **** you spew.

+1?

I'm glad I'm the only Jay-V supporter. I will rub it in all your faces in 5 years when he is the better player.

lol I really think that JV has some serious upside. I just hate his contract situation. If he was coming over next season, i'd lean more towards JV. Just so he can start learning some of big Al's post moves and develope team Chemistry a year or 2 sooner. If his contract situation doesn't get worked out and he will come to the NBA in 3 years. Kanter is the better pick, forsure. But either way Utah is going to draft Brandon Knight and trade with Toronto unless Toronto is a lock to take Walker for JV, then Utah will trade the 3rd pick to Washington for the 6th (Knight) and another asset.

Valanciunas does not have a post move to speak of, and I rare saw him taking any outside shot

Those comments are exactly true, and are good enough reasons why Val should not even be in the discussion at #3. Who's to say he ever devlops a post game or outside shot? This is exactly how you draft a bust: Pick a big guy on potential/athletic ability thinking everything else will work out. Kwame Brown and Darko spring to mind as very good examples.

Kanter wins this one easily because we know he has an outside shot, he uses his body well down low, he has post moves and he appears to be a really good passer for a big man (a talent in big men that I think is vastly underrated).

I won't claim to know Kanter's ceiling, but at least we know he already has the ability to do a little bit of everthing. Utah won't be in a position to draft Kanter and "hope" that the missing pieces to his game eventually devlope. The exact opposite is true with JV.

While I don't disagree with your assement that Kanter is a more finished product today, it ignores one of KOC's fundamental axioms--That when assesing young talent, you can't compare where they are at today, but try to project where they will be at in 2 to 3 years.

Further, despite how many times the Jazz repeat "BEST PLAYER AVAILABEL" they have a demonstrated history of locking in on a postional need. (Kanter is a pf, Jonas is a C)

It wouldn't suprise me at all if the Jazz draft Kanter but he won't keep that Jazz hat long. It also wouldn't suprise me if Jonas V. ends up wearing that Jazz hat by the end of the draft night.

Picking at 3 in this draft kind of defeats BPA. Who's to really say Kanter is better than Knight, or vice versa and so on. If two players are close in talent/ability then you pick the one that fits your team/need.

Some new game footage of Enes Kanter is circulating from his prep school days. I'm watching one game now. It's fairly underwhelming stuff.

I don't know if he's just tired here or what but he looks really lethargic playing vs very weak competition. Getting destroyed on defense.

KOC's strategy that he has stated many times

1. BPA
2. If two players are really close, then go for size
3. Last thing to be considered is fitting a team need

Do I believe that he always adheres to this? Not really, but he has stated that this is how he goes about his biz.

Does size mean overall size, or size at position? Knight is a big PG, so that would be improving size.

If you go overall size you pick Jonas V.
