Following Potential 2018 Draftees

On sports center Shaka Smart said Bamba is Gobert on defense with much more offense. That sounds like a guy that should be drafted #1 to me if true.

I friggin hope the kings shock everyone and take Bamba 2nd...... tbph thats what Im rooting for...

Mo can shoot... idk how this is being overlooked in todays NBA...

Nic Batum said he'd take Bamba #1 after working out with him for 2 weeks he says he's incredible, that he's 3 years ahead of rudy at the same stage, and that he's taller and longer....

the real key is Mo has immense upside, like Rudy did...

I know nothing much of college ball. WHat is the hate for that Grayson kid ?
Probably that he played 4 years of college ball, so he’s older. What people forget is he was projected as a top ten pick as a sophomore, and it’s not like he got worse. He’s played on some stacked teams and still managed to put up big numbers. Another knock might be that he’s not quite a pg and a bit on the small side to play sg, and again there was the dirty play issues, though he did seem to tone it down this last year. He’s a very intense player, I just think he gets carried away a little. I think he projects as a role player, so I don’t think it will be an issue in the nba.

Can we just trade for Bamba, start the twin towers. The jazz might have issues on offense with spacing but so will the other team. Lol

I love this idea, I'm a believer in going to extreme measures, especially given the state of the western conference. If Mo was actually on this team the dynamic between him and Rudy would be legendary. I'd love to see like what Rudy would say about him after a few practices, I bet he'd be blown away.

Things work in cycles. Right now people love small ball, it works, eventually though the counter willl be going so big and skilled you can't play small, it's the natural course....

the Jazz can be many steps ahead of the curve and go super big.. I swear if u really project like 100 years from now all the PF's and C's are gonna be 7-footers, the globalization of the game will increase the talent pool immensely at that height, you'd be a fool to argue otherwise..... Just say the word and i'll expound on why it'll be this way, it's actually rather obvious...

Mo could handle it way better than people realize I think, actully I think he'd love to prove his worth at PF... he can get down in a stance and stuff, and i mean obviously he doesn't need to really crowd his man to swat the shot attempt to smithereens... Cuz with Rudy down low that means Mo gets to leak out and he's like ya know, gonna jump over and run past pretty much everyone, unless they have a clean angle and a head full of steam, and then their still gonna need to foul him...

they would be like playing patty cake at the rim for offensive boards teams would be forced to go big/strong or the rim will get engulfed by long arms. Defensively they'd make the court look small, it'd look comical. Especially with the ferocity Mitchell takes it to the rack, to have those waves of arms coming in for putbacks and tapouts after would be the new brand of jazz basketball and a nightmare to defend.

Makes no sense for Charolette.

Yea, I'm wondering about that too. They need to shed Salary, I guess they value the 8 million savings this year more than the 15 million commitment next season.

Still figure they are making other moves.

Woj said Robert Williams had another meeting with the Clippers with Balmer there for this one.

Also Givony tweeted
Source: Boston College's Jerome Robinson won't be at NBA Draft media day today with the rest of the 20 Green Room invites (minus Doncic, who is traveling). He is in Washington DC meeting with the Wizards top decision makers. He will be at the draft tomorrow, though

I guess the Wiz aren’t looking to trade back now :/

Williams is a shoe-in to be a crowd favorite for the Clippers. He's a highlight factory.

Blake who?

I think Robinson is benefiting from Donovan Mitchell's success. Jazz had Robinson in early when he was projected as a 2nd rounder, since then he has steadily climbed the draft boards.

Rudy Gobert is great defender because of his multiple actions on defense. Mo Bamba has size, has touch, and is an athlete, but does he do the multiple actions that Gobert and Draymond does? I don't know and that remains to be seen.

He can, but at this stage doing what your talking about he is EXTREMELY main-hand dominant.
