With Ingram, Kawhi and LeBron, Kuzma sits. They sell Kuzma high and shed Deng. Burks makes $8.5 less than Kuzma and Deng. They keep or stretch him.

Burks and 1st for Deng. Get Kuzma with exception. Plan to contend in 2020+.

They can stretch deng next year and have max space so this is dumb... but whatever keep pushing for the trade the other team obviously doesn’t want to do.

They won’t give up cheap talent just to get off of Dengs deal.

Maybe the Lakers will actually bring Deng out of mothballs and play him. We all know LeLaker loves playing with vets. If Deng has any game left he might be worth keeping around rather than lose Kuzma or Ingram.

They need something in the NBA contract saying if a player refuses to play he doesn't get paid and the contract extends until he does play. He signed that contract he shouldn't get paid or out of it if he refuses to play.

Good. Let him lose a year of salary. Hope the NBA can fine him additional or suspend him for part of the following year. League needs to mke an example of him. He signed a contract; he should be forced to honor it or suffer the consequences. At least a guy like George made it known he wasn't going to re-sign with Indiana so they were able to trade him. But he didn't sit out the season.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. You can't stretch a player you trade for.

Show us any evidence that LA is willing to move a great young player just to get off of Deng for one year.

Or they do it next year... it won’t matter they will be over the cap... 3 years and 6M is better than giving away a guy who might be all star material (in the east of course).
