Greg Miller: “Injuries killed us last year, we need to be more durable” – meaning no Kanter?

I can't agree with you or disagree. If you can provide any reliable sources that explain Kanter's injury-riddled past, then I can form an opinion.

Ultimately it would be on the physical examination.

All I can say is that it is well documented that Kanter had a back injury during the Hoop Summit.

I'm not a doctor, and so this would ultimately be down to the doctors examining him AND the Jazz's assessment of risk.

Regarding Kanter's knees. I recall reading that he has a history of tendonitis, not injury. Big difference.

Not really clear but there is a history. From NBAdraft.net:

One of the big concerns scouts have with Kanter is his physical health. He has had a history of knee problems and there are concerns about his knees not checking out 100% when he has NBA physicals

I think Hottick is a Knight fan and he is trying to create a story about supposed injuries issues with Kanter. Are you Knight's agent? The story about Kanter's knees was simply a rumor. As far as the back, there has been no known documentation of any history of back troubles. It was mentioned in one game which Kanter scored 34 points and 13 rebounds so it seems like a small issue.

Unless you have documented medical evidence of a potential or past injury history, all players are potentially injury prone. I have little concern about Kanter's healthy. What concerns me more is can he play defense?

An internet draft board is not medical evidence of actual knee problems. Show me a medical report and then I will be concern.

You have got to be kidding me.

Please check my previous posts before making this claim.

I am a Kanter fan through and through, and if his knee/back problems all checked out - I think Kanter is a clear BPA in this draft.

No question what so ever.

As the the "medical evidence" - no I don't have it. I doubt anyone does. If I can get my hands on it I'd probably be in the thick of draft discussions with general managers and agents now, not roaming around this forum.

All I'm saying is - "history of physical issues has now thrown a new light on the Knight vs Kanter debate".

nobody talks about blake grifin's injury , he didnt play last year and now 2011 he was like monster all year , why everbody think bad thinmgs about kanter hey guys he has no problem maybe utah will not pick him but other teams wants him so much i mean enes kanter doesnt need utah , utah needs enes kanter :D hehehehe

He had Tendinitis in one of his knees 3 years ago.

Huge red flag. Forget the physicals. Forget that it was a sore knee three years ago and he's been doing nothing if not getting in the best shape he will ever be in. Huge red flag.

NBAdarft.net is hackville.

Do you have any evidence that he's missed significant time due to injury like the Jazz players with whom you've compared him? 'Cause right now it doesn't appear so.

Hey I sincerely hope you're right and I'm wrong. I'm one of the staunchest supporter of Kanter and bar any injury concern, would love for him to join us next year. I really think he will complement Favors.

Having said that, Miller's comment did give me pause.

Again, I hope I'm wrong.
