He seems to put a lot of stock in 'workouts' though?

Hand pads. Balance test. Jazz's 100 shooting drills. etc, etc, ...

Of course! And he puts a lot of stock into previous game film too! But I thought that was a given, hence why I didn't mention it. I'm simply arguing that him and the best, or really all, GM's also put a lot of stock into analytics and for someone to say "oh you and your stats" whenever they're brought up is quite illogical given the high usage of these stats in real NBA front offices, and awfully close minded.
