So... had Hayward signed with the Cavs (instead of the Hornets), the "Irving in Boston" connection would have made us more suspicious that he'd be leaving, no? Especially with Stevens also in Boston.
Where is says Irving had Hayward, Ariza, Frye committed to Cavs before James returned.Where does it say Hayward was one of the players, and who were the other two?
The Jazz match the Haywood offer, so it is moot.
Who cares? Hayward issue is dead. Jazz will probably be really happy to have NOT committed $60+ million to Hayward, Hill and Hood in the long run. Gordon left and got hurt. I have a hard time ever seeing him become the player he’d likely would have been if he’d have stayed in Utah. Oh well. Too bad for him.Yeah but had it been with the Cavs & Irving instead of Charlotte.
Then Irving was traded to BOS, coached by Stevens.
It would have been easier to connect the dots that Hayward could potentially team up with Irving and Stevens, no?

I’m just thankful that everything came together so that we have Snyder, Mitchell, Gobert, Jingles, Favors, Rubio and Crowder. It was clear that group was clicking at the end of the year and have great things ahead of them.
Hayward signed with Boston before Ainge traded for Kyrie. Hayward signed to play with Thomas. Also I would have thought as connected as DL was, he maybe should have seen the Kyrie & Hayward connection and foresaw the Boston move.
Damn, you're right, I got my timing mixed up.Hayward signed with Boston before Ainge traded for Kyrie. Hayward signed to play with Thomas.

Haha.. I thought there's connection between Kyrie and Hayward and Boston, but I got the timing wrong. So, this is making a big deal about a 4 year old rumor that never happened?
And who, precisely, should care about this?
