We will have to be among the top 3 records in the league at the break to get any all-stars and even then individual issues could derail it (if Gobert is injured much, if Mitchell is in a minor slump or something, etc.). We just won't get the press. Coaches may overlook the obvious star-power elsewhere and pick the players that are the biggest thorns in their sides, on which list Mitchell and Gobert are likely at the top, but with all the current, former, and fringe all-stars in the west it will be tough. If we have a top-4 in the NBA record, we will probably end up with 1. Top-3 could net us 2. Anything less than that is likely another snub, until Gobert gets another all-defensive nod next year and Mitchell is in the discussion for MVP.
I think this year one of them gets in, next year maybe both.
