Ron Mexico's Case

My lineup is 5 starters that all can play positionless basketball. They can all handle the ball. They can all create for themselves and others. They can all shoot the basketball. Giannis and Kawhi can smother the **** out of Lillard. I can also switch on every screen on defense.

Rubashov's Case

Well looking at Ron's team, which I quite like his length could be an issue for me, so I will start Fournier at the two and bring Redick off the bench.

Offensively we will look to exploit Markkanen and Ingram in the pick and roll, btw Dame and Rajon im happy with my ability to move the ball and control tempo. And obviously i have loads of shooting. I also think my bench is the stronger of the two.

Defensively, obviously Giannis and Kawhi (depending on if he shows up) are going to be his focal points, they are gonna get theirs but i think the supporting cast is weak.

Overall I think I have the shooting to sink Ron.

Gianni's ain't smothering Lillard. Hes a good defender overall, but his ability to stay in front of quick players is lacking. Not someone I would want to put on guards.

Not a huge fan of Ron's team. Griffin a bad fit on this team, but I don't like Rubs team at all.

Shouldn't have drafted Griffin. I don't know who was available at there but I am sure there were some good defensive minded centers.

But still a great team. Lots of versatility.

I traded for him. I gave up the 59th pick which ended up being Trevor Ariza. I agree a better guy on defense would go a long way but there are few better fits in offense.

Having 5 guys on offense that can create for themselves, shoot, and pass would be a matchup nightmare. Those pick rolls would be hard to stop.

Plus Griffin is pretty solid on defense of smaller guys. He can stay on a guy for short stunts on switche. This let's me switch on every screen and have length on everyone. A run protector would be nice but that's easy to counter. It's easy to pull centers away. It's not easy when a team can switch every where has 2 elite defenders on the court.

Hmm.. this is a tough one.

Aldridge & Drummond will dominate Blake and Markkanen. Markkanen's time will come but Drummond's gonna get his down low (points and rebound). Aldridge will and can score over Blake.

But then Leonard & Greek Freak is better than Lillard & Fournier by a pretty decent margin.

Harris is quite a bit better than Ingram at this stage, although Ingram could improve with LeBron.

So close I've got to go to the bench. I trust Reddick & Gay more than Barton & Oubre. Bledsoe = Rondo. I trust Mirotic & Morris over Johnson & Poetl.

By the slightest of margin I'm gonna go with Ruba.

Hmm, interesting evaluation.

2 legit Super Stats and a good supporting cast vs Lillard and Aldridge and some supporting players who we know how those two did together, not much.

I dont know why peoope act like Blake is some huge scrub. Smh.

I think Ingrambis more of a SG than Leonard is. I probably would have swapped those.

I am also on a anti-Tobias Harris kick so I went with Ron Bon

Fair enough, I don't think the positions really matter for most of them. Especially on the wing but you are probably right with those two.

Is this supposed to be on how they performed last year or how we think they will perform next year or on their best year as a pro?

He was off my board entirely, but at least you weren’t going to play him at sf like OL said. Lol

That's crazy to have him off your board.
He is a really good player. He is over paid right now but that has nothing to do with the competition.
